Ahead of the much-awaited Big Brother season 26 finale, viewers have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestant in the 2024 edition of America’s Favorite Houseguest.

As the season draws to an end on October 13, 2024, viewers are excited to find out who will win the $750,000 big prize as well as the coveted title of America's Favourite Houseguest, which carries a $50,000 reward.

Fans can visit the CBS website to cast their vote for their favorite competitor out of the 16 original house guests. Each viewer is allowed to cast 10 votes per email address, with five votes initially and five more after watching an ad.

Voting closes at 9 am PT on October 13, 2024. This feature allows viewers to directly influence the results, choosing who they believe deserves the fan-favorite award.

Big Brother: Eviction and the path to the finale

As Big Brother 26 narrows down to its final stages, the latest eviction episode sent Rubina Bernabe packing just before the finale. Rubina was known for initially avoiding major attention but was eventually nominated after forming a close bond with Tucker.

Despite being targeted early, Rubina managed to survive several eviction scares, largely thanks to a strategic house flip led by Kimo and T'kor.

Rubina’s survival streak ended during the final Power of Veto competition, where Makensy Manbeck won the crucial veto, securing her place in the Final Three alongside Chelsie Baham and Cam Sullivan-Brown.

Makensy, having the sole vote, ultimately evicted Rubina from the house, leaving her just shy of making it to the finale.

The final three and what to expect in the finale

Now, with the final three contestants—Makensy, Chelsie, and Cam—set, the stage is ready for the final battle to determine who will be crowned the winner of Big Brother season 26.

The last episode will feature a three-part Head of Household (HOH) competition, where the winner will choose who they want to sit next to in the Final Two.

The season finale will also see the jury house, consisting of evicted houseguests such as Quinn, T'kor, Leah, Angela, and Kimo, play a pivotal role in deciding who walks away with the grand prize.

Additionally, fans will get to see Taylor Hale, the winner of season 24, moderate the jury roundtable, replacing the well-known Will Kirby in this role. This discussion will be key in determining how the jury members view the final contestants, especially in a season where alliances and loyalties have been fluid.

Rubina’s game and eviction

Rubina’s game was characterized by perseverance, despite numerous obstacles. After her early showmance with Tucker put a target on her back, Rubina found herself aligned with Kimo and T’kor.

This alliance protected her in the earlier weeks, but once Kimo was evicted, Rubina’s game took a nosedive. She was nominated six times and spent almost half the season on the chopping block.

Her final chance to secure her spot in the Final Three came down to the HOH and veto competitions, but she fell short in both, sealing her fate. As Makensy won the veto, she had the power to evict either Cam or Rubina and in a strategic decision, she chose to stay loyal to her alliance by evicting Rubina.

Looking forward to the Big Brother 26 finale

Chelsie Baham has emerged as a strong contender in Big Brother 26, having secured her spot in the final competition through multiple HOH victories. It will be intriguing to watch, though, if the jury will appreciate her gameplay or if, as previous seasons have demonstrated, they will be persuaded by resentment.

With Big Brother season 26 coming to an end, fans can tune in on CBS, on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 9 pm ET to witness how everything plays out and to find out which houseguest will emerge as the winner.
