Big Brother season 26 entered the third week after its premiere on July 17, and 18 on CBS. For the unversed, the show format follows 'houseguests' (or contestants) who live together in a home equipped with 113 microphones and 94 HD cameras that track their every move. These houseguests strategize and form alliances, keeping the viewers interested in the drama and suspense.

In the latest Live Feed updates from Week 3, Cedric Hodges secured the Head of Household (HOH) title, setting the stage for a week full of planned moves by him. Tucker Lauriers won the Veto Competition, which significantly influenced the dynamics inside the Big Brother house.

Tucker volunteered to be nominated alongside Angela Murray and Kenney Kelley, with a plan to remove Angela and replace her with Quinn Martin. Tucker used his veto on Angela as planned, expecting Cedric to follow through by nominating Quinn. However, Cedric blindsided Tucker by nominating Makensy Manbeck instead.

Tucker uses veto power to remove Angela and accuses Cedric of betraying him in week 3 of Big Brother

Cedric Hodges' attempt to play both sides led to a series of miscommunications that caused drama in the Big Brother house. In the beginning, Cedric appeared to support Tucker's plan to nominate Quinn Martin. But behind his back, he was planning to do something else.

The Pentagon, an alliance consisting of Cedric, Brooklyn Rivera, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Quinn, and Chelsie Baham, was aware of Tucker's intentions. So, they decided to make their own plan. Knowing the situation at hand, Quinn chose to reveal his secret power (the Deepfake HOH) to his group. This revelation was important as it allowed the Pentagon to strategize effectively for the upcoming weeks.

They decided that keeping Quinn safe in the game would benefit them in the future, especially with the power expiring soon. Cedric's decision to tell Quinn about Tucker's plan was a calculated move to strengthen his position within the Pentagon, but it also set the stage for more drama and conflict.

When Cedric attempted to call off the plan with Tucker, citing lack of votes as the reason, Tucker misunderstood it as his inability to make decisions. Moreover, Tucker was determined to stick to his plan and ended up using the veto power on Angela.

He expected Cedric to follow through with their earlier discussion. However, Cedric's choice to nominate Makensy Manbeck, instead of Quinn, took the other Big Brother contestants by surprise.

Tension escalates as Cedric and Tucker clash in Big Brother house

Cedric and Tucker engaged in a heated argument following the drama surrounding the nominations. Tucker was upset because he believed Cedric had betrayed their agreement. He also accused the latter of dishonesty. The confrontation quickly escalated, with both houseguests having a heated debate and drawing the attention of all the fellow contestants.

The situation's intensity was obvious because T'Kor Clottey, who was seeing it from a distance, expressed discomfort with it. As the argument continued, other houseguests tried to mediate and calm both of them.

This fight left the Big Brother house divided, with alliances shifting. Cedric and Tucker, once allies, found themselves on opposing sides. Both tried to get support and strengthen their positions. The other houseguests, who were caught between these two, had to make their own decisions and strategies.

Big Brother season 26 episodes air on CBS every Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
