Big Brother season 26 episode 20 was released exclusively on CBS on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Week 6 began with the new Head of Household taking charge of the BB house. In the episodes aired so far, viewers got an insight into the house policies, alliances, various strategies, and the individual game mindset of the contestants.

Previously, T’kor Clottey was declared as the new Head of the Household. She chose Makensy Manbeck, Cam Sullivan-Brown, and Tucker Des Lauriers for the elimination round. In episode 20, alongside the three nominees, T’kor, Joseph, and Angela competed in the Power of the Veto challenge.

For this task, cast members had to gain points. Upon elimination from the task, they were handed an envelope that could be stolen by their fellow competitors. Due to this shuffling, the 'Golden Power of Veto' envelope ended up in Cam's hands, which meant he won this week's competition.

The episode 20 synopsis reads as the following:

"The houseguests compete to win the power of veto; during the veto meeting, the winner of the competition can keep nominations the same or save someone from eviction for the week."

What happened during the Power of Veto competition in Big Brother season 26 episode 20?

In episode 20 of Big Brother season 26, the six contestants had to compete in a game called A.I. Apocalypse. The task requirements included each contestant knocking down robots and gaining points. There were some hidden envelopes as well that had a threat or an advantage written on them. Cast Members were allowed to steal each other's envelopes during this task which made it even more interesting.

The first two players to be eliminated from the A.I. Apocalypse challenge were Joseph and Angela, who received a 'Golden Power of Veto' and 'Trapped in the Matrix' envelopes respectively. The second card included a 24-hour punishment. Joseph and Angela exchanged them, hence, the 'Golden Power of Veto' was with Angela.

Later in the episode, Makensy was also eliminated from the task and chose the 'Last Chance Luau' card, which meant she was given a trip to Hawaii.

One of the main twists on Big Brother season 26 episode 20 was T’Kor's elimination after the new Head of the Household received a Radiation Eradication envelope with a 12-hour cleaning task. T’Kor decided to exchange this with Angela, which meant the 'Golden Power of Veto' was now with T’Kor.

As the episode progressed, Tucker was eliminated from the challenge, and the 'End of Days Dollars' envelope rewarded him with $5,000. However, Tucker stole T’Kor's Veto envelope, but Cam ended up taking that from Tucker instead.

This meant Cam was the winner of this competition and had received the 'Golden Power of Veto' for week 6. The upcoming episodes will reveal how he will use his power and whether the dynamics in the show will change.
