Big Brother season 26, which premiered on July 17, 2024, is packed with strategic gameplay, shifting alliances, and dramatic evictions. As it is themed around artificial intelligence, it started with a futuristic vibe, reflecting the BBAI's influence.

The show is at its midway point, where only 10 houseguests are left out of the 16.

Big Brother season 26: How Quinn became the new head

The 21st episode of Big Brother season 26 came with the infamous chicken coop competition 'What came first' to decide the new head of the house. Quinn Martin's happiness seemed to double, first with the eviction of nemesis Tucker and then after becoming the new Head of the House.

In this challenge, the competitors had to carefully transport eggs up a fence and through an obstacle ramp to knock down the letters H-O-H. The first player to achieve this feat would earn the title of head of household.

Additionally, there was a mini-competition to prevent being among the first two players to drop an egg, as those three individuals would end up being the have-nots for the week.

Quinn, Kimo, and Makenzy were the first to drop an egg while Angela decided to hang out with the eggs. The other three sacrificed eating slop for one more week.

Cam was the first one to hit the letter while others were just trying to get the ramp. Makensy, Leah, Kimo, Chelsie, and Quinn caught up with Cam. Everyone except Cam got their second letter.

Kimo and Quinn simultaneously released eggs on a ramp. Despite starting at the same time, Quinn's approach enabled him to navigate his egg down the ramp. With precision, he targeted and got his third letter, grabbing the victory.

Quinn as The HOH Of Big Brother season 26

Everyone in Big Brother House, except Rubina, was happy after Quinn became the head. She hadn't made any alliances with him throughout the season.

Meanwhile, Makensy seemed doubtful of Quinn using his pawn despite their alliance for voting Tucker out.

In their first conversation after the win, Quinn told Chelsie he plans to nominate Angela and possibly Rubina. He also expressed his desire to form a strong alliance with Chelsie, Cam, and T'Kor, and they discussed including Makensy as a way to reward her for opposing Tucker.

Joseph tried hard to minimize the damage, but Quinn was unmoved. Angela's suggestion to nominate those who hadn't been nominated yet was firmly opposed by Quinn.

He expressed his distrust of Rubina and his appreciation for T'Kor's honesty. When Quinn mentioned Kimo as a potential nominee, T'Kor challenged his reasoning. Later, Kimo vented his frustration with Quinn.

In the end, he nominated Angela, Rubina, and Kimo, stating all the names that they called him, creating a rivalry between the groups.

Quinn's prominence seems to be at its peak as his nemesis was evicted from the house and he has also gained the title of head of the house. However, other challenges await him as his dynamics with houseguests keep changing.

The 23rd episode of Big Brother season 26 will air on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 8 pm ET on CBS for viewers to catch up.
