Big Brother season 26 is getting fierce as the final weeks approach. Episode 35 aired with significant events, witnessing another tense eviction. With the aftermath of a double eviction, the housemates are focused on solidifying their positions in the game.

In the last episode, a critical Head of Household competition and Power of Veto contest shaped the eviction.

Kimo Apaka, the show’s first Native Hawaiian player, was the houseguest evicted in this episode. After a long run that included several nominations and clutch wins, Kimo was finally sent home. Keep reading for more details about the eviction and the events that led to this decision.

What happened in Big Brother season 26 episode 35?

Kimo Apaka’s journey in the season 26 came to an end in episode 35. He had been a target since early in the game, narrowly surviving Week 1 thanks to his victory in the "AI Arena" competition.

This allowed him to join forces with T'kor and Quinn, forming the "Visionaries" alliance, which changed the dynamics of the season.

Kimo was nominated multiple times throughout the game but managed to survive with the help of blindsides, alliances, and his strategic gameplay. By the Final Five, Kimo found himself in a vulnerable position as the trio of Makensy Manbeck, Cam Sullivan-Brown, and Chelsie Baham consolidated their power.

Despite various plans and speculations about saving Kimo or targeting someone else, the trio ultimately decided to evict him via a unanimous vote of 2 to 0.

During his exit interview with Julie Chen Moonves, Kimo reflected on his time in the house. “I was gonna win this game,” he joked while doing a playful hair flip. He also shared how much it meant to him to represent his Hawaiian heritage on the show:

“I’m so happy that I got this opportunity… Like, an island kid? Top 5? Hello, what?!”

Who won Head of the Household?

Episode 35 of Big Brother season 26 was packed with intense gameplay as Makensy Manbeck won the Head of Household competition, securing her place in the Final Four. She nominated Kimo Apaka and Rubina Bernabe for eviction, keeping her closest allies, Cam and Chelsie, safe.

In a critical moment, Makensy also won the Power of Veto, giving her the chance to change the nominations. However, she decided not to use the Veto, leaving Kimo and Rubina on the block. Ultimately, the houseguests voted unanimously to remove Kimo, making him the twelfth houseguest to leave the Big Brother house.

Who is left in the Big Brother season 26 house?

The Big Brother season 26 Final Four have been revealed following Kimo's eviction. The remaining housemates vying for the $750,000 ultimate prize are:

  • Makensy Manbeck: After securing her spot in the Final Four with a Head of Household win, Makensy holds a strong position in the game.
  • Cam Sullivan-Brown: A key ally of Makensy, Cam has played a strategic game and remains a strong contender.
  • Chelsie Baham: Another close ally of Makensy, Chelsie has stayed under the radar for much of the season but has positioned herself well for the final stretch.
  • Rubina Bernabe: After surviving the block this week, Rubina continues to fight for her place in the game.

Kimo now joins the jury, alongside Quinn Martin, T'kor Clottey, Leah Peters, and Angela Murray, and will help decide the winner during the season finale on October 13.

In his final remarks, Kimo expressed pride in his journey on Big Brother, stating:

“I just know that [my brother] was so proud of me doing it in the first place.”
