Since it began airing, Big Brother season 26 has been a rollercoaster of strategic moves, alliances, and betrayals as houseguests compete for the $750,000 grand prize. Each week, the dynamics in the house shift as one houseguest gains power as Head of Household (HoH) and nominates others for eviction.
Big Brother season 26 started with 16 houseguests, but after weeks of challenges, evictions, and power shifts, only 11 remain in the competition. The house is more divided than ever, with alliances being tested and new rivalries emerging as the contestants inch closer to the finale.
In this week's episode, the tension was palpable as the remaining 11 contestants prepared for another round of competition. In Episode 19, T’Kor Clottey emerged victorious as the new HoH. She nominated Makensy Manbeck, Cam Sullivan-Brown, and Tucker Des Lauriers for eviction.
Big Brother season 26 HoH competition
Brooklyn Rivera was evicted at the start of the week in Big Brother with an 8-to-1 vote against Cam Sullivan-Brown. With Brooklyn leaving the house, only 11 of the contestants remain in the competition. For the departing Head of House, Tucker Des Lauriers, who had singled out Brooklyn for his rule, the eviction was a momentous occasion.
All eligible houseguests were excited to participate in the "Sound Bites" competition and win. However, the task eliminated several participants. Angela Murray and Quinn Martin were eliminated after the second question. Leah Peters, Kimo Apaka, Makensy Manbeck, and Cam Sullivan-Brown were the next contestants to be eliminated.
T'Kor Clottey was the last person standing after Joseph Rodriguez, Chelsie Baham, and Rubina Bernabe were eliminated in the third round. Thanks to her victory, she now has the authority to choose the next group of candidates for eviction in Big Brother.
T’Kor’s Strategy and the Formation of New Alliances
T'Kor was the center of attention after her victory, and the other houseguests were anxious to ensure their safety, including Cam, who barely avoided being kicked out the week before. Meanwhile, Makensy saw how the other housemates appeared to be drawn to T'Kor and remarked on how they followed her around "like lost puppies."
T'Kor's affiliations, especially the Sixth Avenue alliance—which consisted of Tucker, Kimo, and Rubina—impacted her nomination approach. The initial alliance included Joseph and Angela, but T'Kor, Rubina, Kimo, and Tucker believed it was time to form a new alliance they called "Friendzzzz."
America’s Vote and the A.I. Instigator
One of the more surprising things that happened in episode 19 was the viewers' selection of Tucker to be the AI Instigator for the upcoming week. As an AI Instigator, Tucker could spread false information in the house through AI avatars of his fellow contestants. This could lead to him winning up to $20,000 through a subsequent vote from viewers.
Using Quinn Martin as his avatar, Tucker sent the house a mysterious message that concluded with the words "Pentagon for life."
"The house should have gotten Rubina out when they had the chance because Tucker wouldn't have been able to handle it," he said.
T'Kor managed her HoH responsibilities during the week by having private talks with a few of the houseguests. During their one-on-one time, she strengthened their relationship by assuring Chelsie that she was secure this week, promising to watch for one another until Big Brother was over.
At the nomination event, T'Kor nominated Tucker, Cam, and Makensy, revealing her choice to the public. She acknowledged that there were fewer and fewer houseguests to pick from, making the decision tough, but she hoped that one of the nominees would be granted the Power of Veto so they might be saved.
