After being canceled by Channel 4 in 2010, and Channel 5 in 2018, Big Brother UK made a comeback on ITV in 2023.
The 2024 season 21 premiered on October 6 on ITV2 and saw presenters Will Best and AJ Odudu hosting the series. It kicked off with 16 total contestants vying for the £100,000 by sharpening their social skills and hoping for game wins.
They hope to follow in the footsteps of Jordan, the 26-year-old lawyer who bagged the win last season, taking home the cash prize.
The youngest contestants this season are 20-year-olds Thomas and Lily, and the oldest is the 53-year-old Emma.

Meet the housemates of Big Brother UK 2024
1) Thomas
Thomas is a 20-year-old from Carlisle, and is an amputee footballer by profession. He thinks his good trait is that he can talk to anyone. And his bad trait is that he talks a lot.
2) Lily
Lily hails from Warrington and is 20 years old too. She works as a chinese takeaway server. Lily applied to the show because it was her ex's favorite show, but they broke up before he could see his girlfriend on the show.
3) Khaled
23-year-old Khaled comes from Manchester and works as a sales manager. He has Lebanese and Palestinian roots and comes to the show to stand for his heritage.
4) Daze
This climate activist is a London resident and is 24 years old. She came to Big Brother because she wanted to allow herself to grow.
5) Nathan
This Dumfries resident is 24 years old and works as a pork salesman. He says he will bring a lot of fun and enthusiasm, and opinions and debates to the house. The most surprising thing about him is that he was Price Charles' butler.
6) Hannah
This 24-year-old West Londoner is an HR consultant. She says she stays true to herself so she will bring "authentic vibes" to the house. She is eager to know who she'll be friends with.
7) Segun
This Charity Videographer hails from Watford and is 25 years old. He is coming to the house to be detached from life. Segun thinks he will get nominated for laughing at situations that aren't funny.
8) Martha
This Scarborough resident is 26 years old and works as an NHS Administrator. She applied to Big Brother after growing up watching it with her mother.
9) Sarah
This Shrewsbury resident is a spa account manager by profession and is 27 years old. She thinks she is known for her ability to bring people together, which she is hoping to do in the Big Brother house too.
10) Ryan
Ryan works for marketing and management and is 28 years old. He hails from Stockport and applied to the show because it was his childhood dream. He thinks he will bring dad jokes to the house along with his quick wits.
11) Rosie
This 29-year-old hails from Cornwall and is a Dental Assistant by occupation. She thinks she will bring positive energy to the house because she is a good listener.
She thinks she could get nominated because she could come off as a chaotic person.
12) Izaaz
This Londoner is a sales accountant and is 29 years old. He applied to Big Brother because he wanted to experience living with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
He says he would bring a lot of happiness and kindness to the house.
13) Marcello
Marcello is a youth mentor and hails from East London. He is 34 years old and applied to the show because he thought he could help people grow.
He is a chef so he also looks forward to cooking for people.
14) Dean
Dean also comes from East London and is a Barber by profession at the age of 35. He applied to the show now because being on Big Brother was his dream, but he never had the confidence to do it, until now.
15) Ali
Ali is a 38-year-old Londoner who is a forensic psychologist. She came to the house looking for a completely new experience. She thinks her profession could be surprising to people.
16) Emma
This 53-year-old comes from Altrincham and is an aesthetic business owner. She says she might have times when she is the "mother hen" of the house but most other times she will just be one of the girls.
Big Brother UK will have episodes airing every night at 9 pm BST on ITV2, except Saturdays.
