90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 ended on a bittersweet note, with Part 2 of its Tell All released on November 25. Statler and Dempsey were the only couple who were absent from the reunion because they weren't invited following the former's comments on the show supposedly writing her character and controlling the narrative.
She reiterated the claims on The Tell All Podcast, hosted by herself on November 26, saying it was apparent that they were building her narrative by the way they were asking her to say and do things.
She explained this when the screen said:
"How a writer created my reality TV persona".
Armando Niedermeier-Rubio, a fan-favorite contestant from season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, said that Statler's claims were untrue. He said this in an Instagram post after Statler's November 26 podcast and added:
"These are blatant lies for podcast views and a narrative to excuse her behavior".
What 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fame Armando said after Statler claimed the production wrote her character
Armando, 34, appeared on season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way alongside his partner Kenny, 60. The married couple quickly became a fan-favorite because of their chemistry, despite their age gap.
Defending the network for what he thought were lies from Statler's end, Armando added:
"There are no writers that ‘create’ a story, fictional characters, or say the things she said (good guy bad guy). Of course, they ask who you are, to get to know you".
He continued to say that the stuff Statler claimed to have happened, doesn't happen at all. He added that she was doing a "disservice" to everyone who supported her because those people would believe her but they were being "punked" and lied to.
After his initial post, Armando also posted an Instagram story where he thanked his fans for supporting him and standing by him. He added:
"The truth will prevail as we continue to tell the truth — not just me but a whole army of reality cast members from multiple shows. They have reasons to be shaking in their boots".
What Statler said about her character on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way being scripted
On her podcast, Statler said that she didn't appear on the Tell All of the season because she "spoke out against the manipulation tactics" the show was using to create a narrative.
She called it: "illegal sh*t" and blamed it on "Sharp Entertainment/90 Day Fiancé".
She acknowledged the fact there was previously only one other person who wasn't invited to 90 Day Fiancé Tell All and she was honored to be the second because she was the only one who cut out the "puppet strings".
On The Tell All Podcast, Statler explained how she was manipulated by the makers of the show talking about her meeting with a writer, where she was asked about her life in great detail so that they could build her character. She said:
"She wanted to know all of the things that happened in my life, and she talked to me like a friend. So, I was telling her everything — stuff I’d done in college, stuff I’d done in middle school".
She said she realized that there were certain things from her description to the writer that were being brought up repeatedly. She said she admitted to the writers that she was "hypers*xual" in her 20s, so they kept bringing that up and painted her as someone who was "always thinking about s*x".
