WEtv released a new episode of Love After Lockup on January 24, 2025. The latest episode started things off with Krystal confronting Sam over a phone call. She was upset because he didn't show up to meet her at the prison, as planned. Krystal told Sam she cried in her bunk while waiting for him. Sam tried to explain himself, saying he needed time to think and take care of himself.
He felt overwhelmed by their situation where Krystal was in prison and he had to take care of everything outside. Krystal, on the other hand, felt ignored and rejected. She pointed out that Sam didn't make the effort to visit her, which hurt her feelings.
Sam shared that he was exhausted from working 30 hours straight and didn't think he could handle the trip. To this, Krystal relayed her thoughts and suggested Sam should have taken time off to prioritize their meeting.

Krystal and Sam's relationship reaches a breaking point on Love After Lockup
Krystal reflected on her parole eligibility in a confessional on Love After Lockup. She felt that Sam's failure to visit her was unforgivable, especially on such an important day. During their phone call, Krystal said that she felt Sam didn't show remorse or apologize for not visiting her. Sam defended his actions, saying he was working to support them.
Krystal thought that he prioritized his job over their relationship. Sam tried to explain his commitment to her, but she refused to listen. She told him that she only called to find peace. Sam felt hurt, saying he had stood by her and made sacrifices for their relationship. As Krystal cut him off, Sam shared his frustration in a confessional.
"When you're a grief mop for everybody, at home, at work, your wife, your wife's grandmother, and they just come to you so you could mop up their problems. Being that thing and not getting a break makes me want to blow my top," confessed Sam on Love After Lockup.
He felt overwhelmed by being the emotional support for everyone around him, including his wife Krystal and her grandmother. He felt like he was shouldering all their problems without getting a break. During their phone call, Sam told Krystal that she needed to be more supportive of him.
Krystal responded that she did make an effort to be a good wife despite being incarcerated. Sam disagreed, saying her efforts weren't enough.
"The f—k. We need money, Krystal. Sorry, we need the f—king money. I got this house because of your parole. I've been purchasing things for you. I've been preparing for you. I've been discussing it every living, breathing moment of my life," said Sam.
The conversation escalated, with both Sam and Krystal expressing their hurt and anger. Sam said he wasn't sorry for working hard to provide for their family. Krystal felt Sam's job was more important to him than their relationship. She ended the call, telling Sam it was over between them.
