90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Statler took to Instagram on October 28, 2024, to reveal fresh allegations against her former partner, Dempsey. She tagged Dempsey's alleged new partner, Anayeli Trujillo, urging her to ask Dempsey to return her teddies and the "thousands of dollars" she spent to finance her van life.
Statler added a few more slides on her Instagram Stories, explaining why she chose to separate herself from Dempsey and the impact it had on her mental and physical health.
As a result of Statler's comments online, Dempsey faced a lot of backlash from netizens. On Monday, October 28, 2024, Dempsey took to Instagram to respond to her allegations. She provided proof to dismiss the accusations, urging people to hear both sides of the story before picking their favorites.
"So think next time you decide to jump on a bandwagon you know nothing about. Social media bullying kills. Remember that," Dempsey wrote.
The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star shared screenshots of her conversation with Statler, in which she stated she would send the teddies back to her after returning home. She accused Statler of spreading lies, holding her accountable for slandering her character.
"Enough is enough" — 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Dempsey speaks out after Statler criticized her on social media
Statler exposed Dempsey's newest relationship with Anayeli Trujillo by tagging the latter in her Instagram Story, accusing Dempsey of wanting to "continue on 90 Day." In the same thread, Statler asked Dempsey's partner to ask "Demps" to return her "childhood teddies" and "the thousands of dollars" she owed her for the van.
She added she was "still single" and working on herself to recover from all of the "madness." Statler admitted in the subsequent slide that she "happily ruined" her reputation while expressing her love for Dempsey during their time on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Looking back at the show, she regretted showing her vulnerabilities to Dempsey because she "didn't care...Plain & simple."
In another Story, Statler shared a picture of Dempsey with her teddies, Elroy and Wishbone. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star said the teddies were special to her since she used to hug them to sleep whenever she would cry as a child.
"They're all I truly want back. I love them more than anything & I cry most nights thinking they could be in a dumpster somewhere," Statler added.
Statler's accusations did not sit well with Dempsey, who responded to them, criticizing her former partner for lying solely to project her in a bad light. She shared a screenshot of her conversation with Statler, saying she would send back the teddies after returning home.
Dempsey was frustrated with Statler's social media antics and decided to respond, unwilling to let her slander her name.
"I'm not normally one to get involved tit for tat in online melodrama but enough is enough. I am sick of being BULLIED and having MALICIOUS LIES spread about me," Dempsey said.
The message from Statler sent on Monday, August 19, 2024, read, "Dempsey I want my things back. Please." An hour later, Dempsey responded, saying, "I'll send you them when I'm back at Nottingham."
Below the screenshot of their conversation, Dempsey confessed she could not return Statler's belongings because she was "actively working and traveling without being home for any period of time." She added she was "not holding them hostage," as implied by Statler.
Statler also revealed her findings from conversations with one of Dempsey's exes. She said the ex-partner was "still in therapy & still dealing w/ the financial, emotional & physical issues left behind." According to the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star, Dempsey ran away and bought a caravan after purchasing a house with her ex.
She used the money Statler had given her for the van to pay off some of the debt on the caravan. However, she "didn't pay a cent on what was owed on the house from her ex."
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Dempsey responded to the personal attacks made by Statler. She said she maintained her silence because she valued her mental health "more than having to prove [herself] to anyone."
"Online bullying, lies being spread about me and deformation of character are all things that a specific person is doing to me to try and ruin my life. I have the power to back myself up, prove myself and yet I do not. Bringing family into things, spreading lies about my culture, being damn right racist towards them and people I love is utterly disgusting," Dempsey said.
The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star urged readers not to believe everything someone said. Nonetheless, she wished Statler the best, hoping she would stop interfering in her life in the future.
