The Later Daters is a docuseries executive produced by Michelle Obama. The show follows six singles in their 50s, 60s, and 70s in their pursuit of love and relationships. Dating coach Logan Ury guides the participants, helping them navigate the modern dating landscape.

Many of the singles (Suzanne, Nate, Pam, Lori, and Greg) haven't been in a relationship in over a decade, and Logan works with them to identify what may be holding them back. As the various singles were introduced in the show, one of them was Suzanne who waited on her doorstep to welcome Logan. They had a conversation about Suzanne's love life.

The bachelorette explained that she had been married for 27 years previously. The marriage ended due to Suzanne's husband's untimely passing. Being an optometrist, Suzanne revealed that she worked non-stop to forget about the emotional pain that her partner's death caused her.

"I literally buried myself back in my practice. Had a lot of house projects that I ended up doing," revealed Suzanne.

What happened when Logan met Suzanne for the first time on The Later Daters?

Suzanne welcomed dating coach Logan Ury into her home, where they began discussing her love life. Suzanne's daughter Allison expressed excitement for her mother's new journey. As Logan arrived, Suzanne greeted her warmly.

Logan was impressed by Suzanne's home, likening it to a Pottery Barn showroom. In a confessional on The Later Daters, Logan explained her role as a dating coach, emphasizing her background in psychology and relationship science.

As Suzanne showed Logan around her art collection, they shared a lighthearted moment over a painting featuring a naked lady. Suzanne revealed her fondness for the artist and the subject matter.

Logan gently guided the conversation toward Suzanne's background with love. Suzanne shared her story of meeting her late husband Chris in her late 20s and their 27-year marriage. After Chris's passing, Suzanne immersed herself in her optometry practice and various house projects.

Suzanne emotionally shared her connection to Chris through a wind chime, symbolizing her ongoing bond with him. Logan acknowledged Chris's presence on The Later Daters, and Suzanne revealed that Chris had encouraged her to find someone new before he passed away.

Logan recognized that Suzanne's experience with great love was rare and that she now needed to explore what she sought in a new relationship. Suzanne confessed her affection for Matthew McConaughey, and Logan playfully acknowledged the celebrity crush.

As they discussed Suzanne's preferences for a partner on The Later Daters, Logan emphasized the importance of finding someone who shared Suzanne's passions, including her love for dogs and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Logan offered guidance on a first-date mindset, encouraging Suzanne to focus on sparking interesting conversations. Logan introduced the concept of "in media res," starting conversations in the middle of a topic, to bypass small talk. Suzanne practiced this technique, and Logan mimicked Matthew McConaughey's signature phrase, "All right, all right, all right."

Suzanne went out on her first date with 63-year-old Frank who is an attorney by profession and has been single for eight and a half years. Suzanne expressed her gratitude for bringing her roses. As they drank together, they shared intimate details about each other. They both felt at ease and agreed that dating at their age was not easy.

"I like Suzanne. She's classy, she's pretty. She was just easy to talk to. And I like that about a woman," revealed Frank.

As Allison came to pick up her mother, it was revealed on The Later Daters that Frank had sent Suzanne a text on Facebook. Despite that, Suzanne wasn't sure about going on a second date with Frank as she felt they did not share similar interests.
