Love is Blind: Mexico released Episodes 9-10 on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Having spent a month getting to know each other while living under the same roof, the couples now needed to decide if they wished to get married.
The five couples featured in the latest episodes were Karen and Fernando, Gerardo and Fernanda, Willy and Francesca, Chema and Silvia, and Irais and Rene. Of all the couples, one said "I do" at the altar. Karen and Fernando tied the knot and agreed to spend life together as husband and wife.
In Episode 10, while Karen was at the altar, she said:
"It still feels really weird that I blindly fell in love and here now, with my dad's spirit, my mom, Emi, and my family and friends, I can't wait to become your wife."
Fernando reciprocated her feelings and accepted her as his wife. The couple's relationship was not one without hiccups. They found their way to each other after rejecting potential partners in the Love is Blind: Mexico pods.
Karen and Fernando often clashed over the former's smoking habits. They even argued when Fernando's ex-flame Irais returned to the show with Rene. Despite the fights and the insecurities, they married each other, knowing their love was stronger than everything else.
Love is Blind: Mexico star Karen says she feels "full of love"
Karen and Fernando got engaged in Episode 2 of Love is Blind: Mexico. Fernando was initially interested in developing a relationship with Irais. However, once he interacted with Karen in the pods, he immediately realized he had better chemistry with her.
They bonded as Karen opened up about her past relationship and Fernando shared his experience growing up with an abusive father.
After they got engaged, Karen continued to feel insecure about her relationship with him. Her worries peaked when Irais returned to the show with Rene. The Love is Blind: Mexico star believed she returned to reconnect with Fernando.
Once Fernando put her doubts to rest, they worked on building their trust in each other. Their relationship blossomed and eventually culminated in marriage. In Episode 10, when Karen saw her dress she said, "It's such a dream come true."
She felt "pretty emotional" to have her daughter, Emily, by her side. Emily knew her mother was "happy but anxious" and wished everything went well. Meanwhile, Karen's friend hoped "they can live happily ever after."
On the other hand, Fernando seemed certain about his feelings.
"I'm nervous and scared, but I don't feel sick. I don't feel like I'm suffocating," said Fernando.
Before the Love is Blind: Mexico couple headed to the altar they were each joined by their mothers. Karen's mother thought Karen "looked like a princess" in her wedding dress. Meanwhile, Fernando's mother got emotional seeing her son so happy. Fernando video called his sister in London who looked forward to meeting her "sister-in-law."
"Their trust and support means a lot to me. So it gives me more confidence," said Fernando.
While speaking to host Lucy Chaparro, Karen noted she finally found somebody she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
"I never thought it would be possible to feel so much and be so happy in such a short period of time," said Karen.
Watching Karen walk down the aisle, Fernando was overwhelmed with happiness. When asked if Karen would accept Fernando as her "lawfully wedded husband," she replied, "I do." Fernando followed suit and said, "I do."
"I don't wanna see if this works. I'm here to make this work. I do," said Fernando.
Karen added that together they would build the future they always dreamed of. She promised to love and cherish him, and cook him "chicken breast every single day." Before they exchanged rings, Fernando gifted a bracelet to Emily, vowing to protect and love her throughout life.
"I'll always protect you both and put you first before everything and everyone," said Fernando.
The Love is Blind: Mexico couple kissed after being pronounced husband and wife. The guests cheered and applauded as they walked down the aisle together. Karen looked forward to starting a new life with Fernando.
Fernando stated that they were proof that love was truly blind. They cut their wedding cake and celebrated the moment.
