With the release of Big Brother's latest episode, fans of the reality show heard interesting conversations taking place between the houseguests of season 26. In episode 21, one such conversation took place between Leah, Rubina, and Quinn about the previous season finalists, Jag Bains and Matt Klotz.
For the unversed, Jag and Matt were houseguests in Big Brother 25 and were inseparable throughout the season. Jag Bains won the season after 100 days in Big Brother's house and became the first Indian-origin Sikh to win the competition, which has been running since 2000. Jag was initially voted out of the competition but brought back by the makers and won the coveted $750,000.
Leah initiated the conversation about the past finalists, praising Jag for his persistence in coming back and winning the show over his friend Matt. Quinn expressed that he didn't believe Matt could successfully articulate to viewers his gameplay and that became his disadvantage.
"Matt didn't know how to articulate his game... Making Jag do all the dirty work. If he went ahead and just owned it," stated Quinn.
Quinn further stated that he loved Jag's final speech which caused quite a stir online as some people accused the tone of the speech as aggressive.
"I was hyped up and then everyone online was like, 'That speech was too much.' And I was like, 'No! He should have said more.' It was crazy, dude. I love him. Shout out to Jag. Can't wait to meet that guy."
After episode 21, ten participants are left in Big Brother 26 including Angela Murray, Joseph Rodriguez, Kimo Apaka, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Chelsie Baham, Leah Peters, Makensy Manbeck, Quinn Martin, Rubina Bernabe, and T’kor Clottey.
Big Brother season 25 winner Jag Bains' fiery finale speech explored
Jag is a 26-year-old owner of a trucking company from Washington, who quickly became friends with Matt in the house and formed the "Minutemen" alliance. In week 4, Matt won the Power of Invincibility which gave him the power to save anyone from elimination despite the voting results. Matt saved his friend, Jag, who was supposed to go home after a unanimous voting result against him.
That proved to be the turning point in Jag's game as he formed a master plan to become the final two with Matt. The two often worked with Bowie Jane Ball and formed the "Mafia" alliance, which helped them secure the Power of Veto in the ending weeks consecutively between them.
In the final week, Jag won the Power of Veto and HoH competition which he used to evict Felicia Cannon and brought Matt on to the finale with him. When the finale came rolling in, the two final houseguests of Big Brother got the opportunity to plead their cases in front of the jury members.
The finalists of previous seasons had always been careful of the way they expressed themselves, not to offend anyone and hamper their own chances of winning. Jag though had other ideas and during his speech did not hold back while pleading his case.
He claimed to have made all the right moves which resulted in the previous houseguest's elimination and also took credit for Matt's inclusion in the final as well.
"I am standing where I am standing and you are sitting where you are sitting because I have willed it to be that way. I am the most dominant, masterful, strategic player in this house. I don’t only deserve to win, I have earned this victory," stated Jag in his speech.
One of the jury members and season 25 participant, Cirie Fields, called Jag "arrogant", but that didn't stop him from winning the season with five out of seven jury members voting for Jag to win.
