Claim to Fame season 3 released its latest episode on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The popular ABC show started with a lineup of 11 cast members, each attempting to advance in the competition by concealing the identity of their celebrity relative. While some kept their identities hidden, others failed the test, leading to their eviction.

The latest episode featured Dedrick's elimination after he incorrectly guessed Adam's relative to be actor Owen Wilson. As a result, Dedrick's celebrity relative was revealed, and it turned out to be the late singer, Michael Jackson.

Dedrick had previously referred to himself as "Mr. Jackson," inevitably giving away a major hint to his castmates. Therefore, the Claim to Fame cast members were not surprised when his celebrity relative was revealed in the latest episode. Following his elimination, the five contestants who remained in the competition were:

  1. Adam
  2. Danny
  3. Hud
  4. Mackenzie
  5. Shane

Over the past five weeks, multiple clues and hints for each contestant's celebrity relative were disclosed. Viewers of the ABC show eagerly anticipate the clues and hints they will come across in the following episodes, wondering if the contestants can make any correct guesses.

Claim to Fame season 3: What are the clues and hints for the five current cast members?

1) Adam

In the first week, Adam confirmed his celebrity relative was a singer. He refrained from singing during the talent show because he claimed the cast members would guess his relative's identity if they heard his voice.

During week 2, Gracie Lou was sent home after she incorrectly guessed Adam's relative to be Dustin Hoffman. Naomi was certain Adam was related to the actor after she saw the feather duster, the pirate clues, and the gravel on the clue wall. However, the assumption was incorrect.

In week 3, Mackenzie assumed Adam was related to actor David Schwimmer when she saw an island in the telephone challenge, which led her to believe it was a hint for the movie Madagascar. The giraffe from the week before fueled her hunch, since David was the voice of the giraffe in the film. However, Adam revealed she was wrong.

In week 4, Adam confirmed that his celebrity relative was an actor who had starred in The Internship and appeared on Friends, solidifying Mackenzie's suspicions that he might be related to David Schwimmer or Owen Wilson.

During week 5, Dedrick saw the cars, and lightning bolt clues on the wall and assumed it was a hint for Owen Wilson, who voiced Lightning McQueen in Cars. However, Adam revealed he was not related to the actor, and sent Dedrick packing. The Claim to Fame cast member mentioned his relative babysat for Paula Abdul as a side hustle.

2) Danny

In the first week, the clues for Danny were negligible. However, one castmate guessed he might be related to Jelly Roll. In week 2, the scarecrow clue given to the contestants led them to believe Danny was related to a country singer.

In week 3, the Claim to Fame cast member revealed he grew up in the hoods. His celebrity relative once ordered a Foot Locker to be closed so they could shop privately.

In week 4, Danny confirmed that his relative was a pro wrestler but had not competed against The Honky Tonk Man. When asked by the cast members, he stated that his relative was not a country singer.

In week 5, Danny confirmed his celebrity relative was a musician. Adam and Hud used Dany's wine clues: a man on fire, veni vidi vici, a microphone in a star, an owl that said "who," people falling, and a low letter J. They connected the dots and figured out he might be related to the "superstar singer who fell for JLo," Marc Anthony.

3) Hud

In the second week, Hud allied with Naomi, who vowed to keep him safe in the competition. The wine clue that she picked included several emojis. It consisted of cherries, a bomb, a painter, an owl, a hurt knee, a sewing needle, and a thumbs-up.

Naomi deciphered that his clue might hint at the song Cherry Bomb by The Runaways. She then started analyzing the hints from the clue wall and the challenge. "Gemini" and the double cancer signs led her to believe that his relative had a twin sister. Ultimately, she predicted Hud was The Runaways' Cherie Currie's son.

In week 4, the Claim to Fame cast member confirmed the scarecrow on the wall was for his relative. When the contestants asked if his relative was famous for country music, he said no.

In the fifth week, Hud confirmed that the melon present in the challenge was a clue for his celebrity relative. Mackenzie believed Hud's relative might be someone in the pop industry because of the melon and watermelon clues.

4) Mackenzie

In week 1, Mackenzie confirmed that her relative was not connected to the Broadway association nor was the person a Tony award winner. However, she revealed her relative was a singer, although singing was not hereditary.

In the second week, the Claim to Fame cast member admitted that the "goatee" clue in the challenge was for her relative.

In the fourth week's lie detector test, Mackenzie confirmed that her celebrity relative was a woman who once played a ballerina. However, the contestants felt she lied about her relative's gender.

Shane pulled her wine clue, which consisted of emojis showcasing six footsteps, the number six, a cowboy hat on top of a music note, an owl saying, a person holding a trophy, a monkey, a house for sale with the word "sale" missing, and an ice cube. He assembled the pieces and deciphered the first half of the clues, stating, "6'6" country music star who won..."

5) Shane

In the first week, Shane disclosed that his celebrity relative was an "icon in Hollywood." Bianca assumed the grenade, the dog, the stapler, the popcorn bucket with tickets, the army men, and the school bus were Shane's clues. As a result, she guessed Shane was related to Forest Whitaker. However, it was an incorrect assumption.

In week 3, the Claim to Fame cast member revealed Michael Jackson was his sister's godfather.

In the fourth week, during the lie detector test, he confirmed his relative knew Michael Jackson and was still alive. He added that he was not his cousin.

In week 5, with the napalm smell in the challenge, and the grenade and robin bird from the clue wall, Adam assumed Shane was related to Robin Williams. He also guessed a sound from the challenge, which he thought might be from Robin's movie Jumanji.

However, they were all speculations, and nothing was confirmed.

Claim to Fame season 3 airs every Wednesday only on ABC.
