The third season of Claim to Fame is currently streaming on CBS. Eleven contestants are invited to live together in a mansion, and each one has a famous relative. The challenge lies in hiding their celebrity relatives while attempting to identify the celebrity relatives of the other contestants. There is a lot at stake because the person who can stay anonymous the longest will win $100,000.

In the fifth episode of Claim to Fame, Dedrick was the one who had to leave. Known among the other contestants as 'Mr. Jackson,' Dedrick had been cautious ever since the premiere, when he unintentionally revealed his connection to the iconic Jackson family.

This episode featured a blindfold challenge, which tested the contestants' abilities to guess clues about each other's celebrity relatives without depending on eyesight.

Dedrick’s celebrity relative: The King of Pop in Claim to Fame

Sigmund Jackson is Dedrick's real name. He is the nephew of Michael Jackson, who is known as the 'King of Pop.' Some viewers thought he might have a connection to other famous Jacksons, like Janet Jackson or Jackie Jackson. When it was revealed that he had a direct connection to Michael Jackson, it surprised the other contestants and viewers.

The clues given during the blindfold challenge definitely hinted at Dedrick's relation to Michael Jackson. One of the pairs of clues consisted of an egg beater and bubble wrap. The 'bubble wrap' was a reference to Michael Jackson's famous pet chimpanzee, Bubbles, and the egg beater hinted at the iconic song Beat It.
