The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 episode 4 premiered on Sunday, October 27, 2024, on Bravo. At the end of the episode, the cast members gathered for a dinner meeting where they shared updates on their lives.
During the dinner, Gizelle Bryant confronted Karen Huger and told her that they needed to work on their relationship. She suggested that they could improve their communication to get along better with each other.
"Moving forward, I think our communication can be better. And again, I have felt like 100% I have been there for you. So if I'm going to be there for you, I want to feel it in return. That's my point," Gizelle told Karen.

Wendy Osefo, Ashley Darby, Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, and Mia Thornton returned for season 9 of RHOP. The housewives were joined by new cast members Stacey Rusch and Keiarna Stewart as full-timers. Besides the core cast, Jacqueline Blake and Jassi Rideaux appeared as friends of the group.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle asks Karen to reciprocate her support
Gizelle aimed to clear the air by confronting Karen about the current state of their relationship. She revealed that Wendy had inquired about the dynamics between her and Karen before the dinner meeting. Wendy suggested that Gizelle address the issue with Karen before Wendy's birthday.
Gizelle confronted Karen about her absence at the event honoring her father. The Real Housewives of Potomac star emphasized that Karen was aware of how much the occasion meant to both her and Ashley. She conveyed her feelings of disappointment, stating that she had been a devoted friend to Karen but felt that the support was not reciprocated.
"Karen, the events of it all... You knew I had the event, you know how important the event was to me and to Ashley. And I feel like I'm being a utmost friend to you and I'm not getting it in return," Gizelle told Karen.
Karen responded that she regretted that she was not there by her side. However, The Real Housewives of Potomac star playfully stated that she would not take responsibility for Gizelle's behavior. She said:
"I do really regret that I was not there for you in memory of your father. However, I do not take responsibility for your behavior... I raised you better than that."
Forgiving Karen, Gizelle reiterated that she had been "100%" supportive of Karen and expressed her desire for the same level of effort in return if she continued to be there for her.
Karen acknowledged her castmate’s sentiments and admitted to the other housewives at the table that Gizelle had been there for her.
Resolving the issue with Karen, Gizelle said in her confessional:
"I'm sick of being mad at Karen. We need to clear the air and just get this and bury this and move forward."
Titled Bunking Beds and Butting Heads, The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 episode 4 featured the arrival of the ladies in Lake Norman, N.C. Jacqueline's relationship with Mia was questioned while Stacey and Keiarna had bones to pick with Ashley. During their dinner meeting later in the episode, Karen was put on the spot after Mia revealed that she had overheard Karen during a butt dial.
