Big Brother season 26 evicted contestant Leah was sent home during the September 26, 2024 episode. For Leah, this was a shock as she was sure that her alliance, Makensy, wouldn't betray her and put her on the block. As fans already know, Chelsie's main target was Leah, and she wanted to evict her as soon as possible.

When Makensy became the Head of the Household and won the Power of the Veto competition, there were rumors spread around the house that Leah planned on targeting Chelsie and eventually Makensy. The HOH was not pleased to hear this and ended up protecting Chelsie by removing Kimo from the block and putting Leah in his place.

The Big Brother nominee repeatedly clarified that she was loyal to Makensy and had no intention of stabbing her in the back. In a conversation with Parade Magazine on September 27, 2024, Leah once again mentioned that Makensy was someone she was "rooting to win" that week. Leah shared she wanted to stand by her side and was willing to keep her promise to protect her till the very end.

The evicted contestant stated that she viewed Makensy's game as "shaky" and that she might not win if she kept trusting the people she currently is. Leah continued, stating the shock she felt when Makensy put her on the block:

"I was completely and utterly shocked being nominated by Makensy. She was someone I was really rooting to win this week, and someone that I really would have kept safe throughout the whole entire game."

Big Brother contestant Leah chimes on Makensy protecting Chelsie

Throughout Big Brother season 26, Leah proved to be a loyal candidate who had built a strong friendship with Joseph Rodriguez and Quinn Martin. After her allies were evicted, she had hopes from Makensy, who ended up being influenced by Chelsie's motive.

After her exit from the CBS show, Leah expressed regret that she should have gone after Chelsie as the Head of the Household. When Leah was the HOH, she targeted the strongly allied trio Kimo, Rubina, and T’kor, as she felt breaking them apart was necessary for her to ultimately win the game.

However, now that Leah had left the Big Brother house, she felt the result "could have been exactly the same" even if she made different decisions. Leah continued by mentioning she had no regrets, saying:

"I still believe that even if I completely changed everything, that the result could have been exactly the same. And for that reason, I don't truly regret anything. I think it's way easier said than done, and it's easy to say, "If I just did this one thing, I would have lasted till the end." But I truly did what was best for me at the time, and I don't regret a thing."

Talking about her promise to Makensy, Cam, and Chelsie, Leah elaborated that if she was still a part of the competition, she would have stayed loyal to the three players. Instead of targeting Makensy, Cam, and Chelsie, Leah shared her game strategy would have been going after Rubina and Kimo.

Big Brother season 26 can be streamed exclusively on CBS and Paramount Plus every week on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Fans can follow Leah on her official Instagram account, @leahpeterss.
