Love is Blind season 7 allowed viewers to follow along each contestants' journey from their initial conversations in the pods to their wedding preparations. Episode 9 titled Is Love Enough? was released exclusively on Netflix on October 9, 2024.
In the latest segment, couples met each other's parents and discussed their future plans. One of the couples, Garrett and Taylor talked about their parents' concerns about the wedding.
Garrett shared that if Taylor's dad didn't give him the blessing to marry his daughter, he would be crushed. He said he was scared about Taylor's father not approving of him. While having dinner with his soon-to-be wife, Garrett mentioned:
"I know how much it means to get your father's blessing. Your parent's blessing and so just the possibility of not getting it scares the sh*t out of me because I just wanna be with you so bad. So it just like, crushes me to think about it."
However, he was confident in his decision to tie the knot with Taylor, even though his own parents were not potentially in favor of it.

In Love is Blind season 7 episode 9, Garrett shared that his mom was unsure about his marriage with Taylor, as she expressed in her emails. He told Taylor that his mother was concerned about whether he was making the right decision.
Meanwhile, Taylor said that her parents were having doubts as well. She appreciated Garrett for wanting to move to Sein Deigo with her and start their new chapter together.
Garrett said he was hopeful that their parents would approve of their wedding. If not, the Love is Blind contestant added that he would still marry because his family knew he made "his own decisions." He elaborated:
"We just have to hope that we can convince our parents that we are of sound mind and that this is real, and that the love I feel is real. And this person, the love they feel is real. That they are the right person for me."
Taylor expressed nervousness about Garrett meeting her dad. She explained why her father wanted to have a private conversation with her soon-to-be husband off camera. When Garrett was to ask her hand in marriage, Taylor replied:
"To meet you in person, know that you're real, see that I'm okay, see how I actually feel, spend more time with the person who would be my husband. Having you ask for my hand in marriage, its gonna make all the difference."
In case Taylor's dad refused to give his blessings, Garrett shared that it was understandable. The Love is Blind contestant said he wouldn't "blame" her partner's parent:
"I wouldn't blame him. He doesn't know me, he doesn't know us."
