Dancing With The Stars has announced the premiere of its latest season, which is set to premiere on September 17 on ABC and Disney+ at 8 p.m. ET. The announcement was made on the Instagram handles of Dancing With The Stars and ABC along with the caption:

"There’s no better feeling than heading back to the ballroom. Join #DWTS for a new season premiering LIVE September 17 at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+! Next day on Hulu."

Fans of the reality show will also see familiar faces return to the judging panel. Like in previous seasons, the record six-time champion Derek Hough will judge the contestants of season 33 along with Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

Season 33 will feature a new lineup of celebrity contestants paired with professional dancers, all vying for the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. The contestants who will join the new season are yet to be announced by ABC.

As in previous years, the contestants are announced two weeks before the premiere date on Good Morning America.

Before the start of last season, former ballroom dancer and judge of Dancing With The Stars, Len Goodman, died. Along with that, the show also parted ways with former runway model Tyra Banks, which led to the introduction of Julianne Hough as the host alongside Alfonso Ribeiro.

Alfonso is best known for starring in the hit series Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alongside Will Smith. His co-host, Julianne, is a professional dancer who has won the previous seasons of Dancing With The Stars two times.

The much anticipated season 33 of Dancing With the Stars is to premiere on TV on ABC, live on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Fans of the show and casual viewers who want to see different celebrities dancing on their TV screen can also stream the show Disney+ live, while they can catch up with the events in the episode on Hulu the very next day.

Existing users of Disney+ can watch the show on the Disney+ website and the mobile app. The cheapest plan of the streaming site starts at $7.99 per month, along with costlier options according to viewer's preference.

Hulu also provides its services at similar prices, with the cheapest plan starting at $7.99 per month. The only catch is that the episodes of Dancing With The Stars will be available to watch the next day of their premiere on TV.


What happened on Season 32 of Dancing With The Stars?

Season 32 of the famous reality show saw five couples compete to be crowned the winner in the finale.

The celebrities who made it to the finale were, Ariana Madix, Alyson Hannigan, Charity Lawson, Jason Mraz and Xochitl Gomez. While Jason Mraz and Xochitl Gomez made it to the last round with their dance partners, Gomez, the teenage star of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, who won the previous season along with Val Chmerkovskiy, was awarded the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The winning couple took on the style of foxtrot for their first dance and received accolades and a perfect score from the judges. They also received a perfect score for the second dance as the couple danced to Que Calor by District 78.

The previous season has also been nominated five times for the annual Emmy Awards, which recognizes artists for their artistical and technical prowess in the American and international television industry.


Season 33 of Dancing With The Stars will premiere the much anticipated season on 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, on ABC and Disney+, and Hulu on September 18, 2024.
