Dancing With The Stars season 33 continued for the second night in a row with its fourth episode on October 8, 2024, at 8 pm ET on ABC and Disney+. In this episode, the dancers celebrated the Hair Metal Night theme with an appropriate guest judge, Gene Simmons of the band Kiss.

Monday night saw no eliminations from the show, which meant judges’ and viewer scores would be combined to determine who goes home on Tuesday night. The winner of the competition will be awarded the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The show is hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough while the judges for Dancing With The Stars season 33 are Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and record six-time champion Derek Hough.

What events unfolded on Dancing With The Stars season 33 episode 4?

To start the night, Danny Amendola took the stage with Witney Carson as the two danced on Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi in the style of Paso Doble. Bruno noted that Danny put all his efforts into the dance which was commendable but lacked finesse.

Reginald VelJohnson and his pro dance partner Emma Slater were next as they danced to I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister in Cha Cha style. As noted before, Reginald had his knees replaced and had trouble moving which the judges pointed out. They also noticed that despite his performances the audience of Dancing With The Stars backed him up well.

Next to go up were Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong who performed on another Twisted Sister classic We're Not Gonna Take It in the style of Jive. The judges praised the overall performance but noted some moves that could have been perfected. This was followed by an equally decent performance by Brooks Nader who performed Cha Cha on a Poison track Nothing But a Good Time.

Olympic medal winner Stephen Nedoroscik took the stage with Rylee Arnold on Dancing With The Stars. He took the critique from the last episode, and applied it in his performance on Here I Go Again by Whitesnake. Dwight Howard did another Paso Doble with his pro partner Daniella Karagach on Aerosmith's Walk This Way which got him praise from all the judges for improving from his past performances.

Eric Roberts and Britt Stewart performed on Cherry Pie by Warrant which was praised by the judges for telling a story regarding Eric's car accident but noted that his timing was off. Next was Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten dancing in the style of Jive and they picked Quiet Riot's Cum on Feel the Noize. She was criticized for missing her steps on several occasions but also wanted her to come back next week.

Jenn Tran and Sasha Faber did the next Paso Doble when they performed The Final Countdown by Europe. The pair were complimented overall for their posture but noted the lack of fieryness. This was followed by Phaedra's performance on Bon Jovi's hit You Give Love a Bad Name and the night concluded with Joey Graziadei's dance to Scorpion's Rock You Like a Hurricane.

Combined scores of the double-night event on Dancing With The Stars

  1. Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson (Tango) — 34 + 36 = 70
  2. Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong (Jive) — 36 + 33 = 69
