Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy, who got engaged on Love Is Blind season 7, have opened up about their relationship and eventual split after their time on the show.

After the couple's initial announcement, viewers of the popular Netflix series were left wondering why the producers had stopped showing their narrative. There was an obvious awkwardness to their first meeting, which predicted the difficulties the pair would have during their brief engagement.

In an interview with People on October 2, 2024, Brittany admitted she was "definitely disappointed" when producers announced they would no longer be filming the couple.

"But I knew we were the weakest link. Let's just be honest, I was the only one that didn't say, "I love you" back to the person I was engaged to, so I was not surprised," she said further.

Despite their mutual decision to end the engagement, Brittany and Leo have since set the record straight about their relationship, revealing the reasons behind their breakup.

Brittany and Leo's relationship dynamics in Love Is Blind

Leo and Brittany formed a strong connection in the pods during Love Is Blind season 7. When asked about how they felt about each other initially, Leo said:

"She really balanced me out... She felt like home."

Similarly, Brittany described Leo as someone who matched her ideal husband's criteria.

“He’s emotionally intelligent... we just got along on a spiritual level,” she said.

Despite these strong emotional ties, their relationship dynamics began to shift after the reveal.

Their first in-person meeting was awkward, and Leo quickly noticed a disconnect. "I was overjoyed to see her, but there was absolutely some awkwardness," Leo admitted. Meanwhile, Brittany confessed that she felt overwhelmed during the proposal and couldn’t shake off the intuition that "this isn’t my husband."

The breakup in Miami

Following the reveal, Brittany and Leo were not part of the usual Love Is Blind post-reveal journey. While most engaged couples travel to romantic getaways, producers informed the pair that their story would not be followed further.

Both Leo and Brittany expressed their disappointment, with Leo saying, "I was totally crushed."

After leaving Love is Blind, the pair had a little trip to Miami, where they realized that their engagement would not result in marriage. According to Leo,

“We had a lot of conversations throughout the trip, and mutually came to the conclusion that we just didn’t see it turning into marriage.”

Brittany echoed similar sentiments, adding, "The chemistry just wasn’t there."

Their learning from Love Is Blind

Looking back, both Leo and Brittany took away valuable lessons from their time on Love Is Blind. For Leo, the experience highlighted the importance of being vulnerable and following one’s heart. During his time on the show, he thought back on how his lack of decision caused needless tension and said,

"I'm certainly never going to be in the situation where I'm as torn as I was."

Brittany, on the other hand, considered her experience on Love Is Blind to be a pivotal time in her personal development. She said, "I learned better communication," and that she now has greater self-assurance and a better comprehension of her feelings.

Brittany and Leo insist that there is no animosity between them despite their breakup and that they still cherish the lessons they gained from being on the show.

Episodes 1-6 of Love Is Blind season 7 are already available on Netflix, with episodes 7-9 launched on Wednesday, October 9.
