Big Brother season 26 has revealed one of the biggest plot twists on the show so far. When Tucker was eliminated from the house, the audience was surprised as his powerful position and strong strategies had previously saved him. Another twist in the Head of Household competition was when Quinn took over T'kor's position.
By that time Tucker had already taken the risk of offering himself as a pawn, he thought he could win in the AI Arena. Unfortunately, his plan didn't work and Tucker's eviction depended on the hands of his fellow housemates. By a vote of 5-3, he was eliminated from the show.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on August 30, 2024, Tucker revealed what went down during the AI Arena competition. Despite having the practice and winning multiple eviction challenges, Tucker found himself in a tough spot to secure his position in the game. Tucker admitted that he didn't "listen to the directions close enough," he continued:
"I didn't do well at the puzzle, and I love puzzles. In all honesty, I didn't listen to the directions close enough, and I was building it so that the numbers were facing the podium that had all the number memory chip things, and that's all that happened there."
Big Brother season 26 star Tucker opens up about his eviction
In a conversation with Gold Derby on August 30, 2024, Tucker reflected back on his mistake of saving Quinn. Referring to the time when he was the Head of Household, Tucker shared he should have eliminated Quinn when he had the chance. But at that time Brooklyn was a "bigger threat" who he considered a "manipulator and deceiver" in the house. Tucker mentioned how he did Quinn a favor by saving him from a potential eviction, he continued:
"I should have stuck with my gut. At that moment all of his cards were on the table. He was scrambling to pick them up, and he scrambled and picked them up quickly. But, Brooklyn was the bigger target."
The Big Brother season 26 star also clarified that Quinn couldn't be trusted especially now that he is in a powerful position. In his interview, Tucker advised the remaining houseguests to be aware of Quinn's next step and not to trust him completely. He also mentioned Rubina and Kimo and their "social game" which might get them in trouble as they "trusted Quinn."
Tucker knew he was being considered a target and a threat in other players' eyes. The Big Brother contestant told Parade that he thought the votes would save him but unfortunately, being a "very appetizing target" made it difficult for others to be convinced to let him stay. He further mentioned that his position gave others "a chance to strike." He said:
"I know that I was a very appetizing target the whole time in there, and the second people would have a chance to strike, they would have been fools not to."
With Quinn as the new Head of the Household things might change in the Big Brother house.
