Big Brother season 26 week 8 ended with the eviction of Quinn Martin, who was voted out 4 to 2 against Kimo Apaka. Despite his strategic gameplay, Quinn, a nurse recruiter, has since realized the mistakes he made during his time in the Big Brother house. However, he expressed that he would not change anything despite making decisions that negatively impacted his position in the house.

In an interview with Gold Derby published on September 13, 2024, Quinn reflected on his performance and shared that he wanted to play as a contestant who would be remembered even after being eliminated from the competition. He didn't want his game strategy to appear "boring" or "lame." Quinn explained:

"I don’t think I would change anything and that’s probably dumb to say. I wanted to play to be remembered because I didn’t want to risk being forgotten. I didn’t want to play a game that was lame. Honestly, that stuff is so lame! So I wouldn’t change a thing."

Quinn's eviction was a surprise for the audience as they didn't see him being voted out at all. Throughout his time on the show, Quinn removed his threats from the game, one of them being Tucker.

Big Brother contestant Quinn explains why he didn't want to be an "honest player"

During the interview, the Big Brother season 26 cast member said he wanted the "fun" element in the game to be added to elevate the experience for the audience. He also stated that the reason why Quinn didn't want to play as an "honest player" was for viewers to remember him and have an interesting dynamic to watch. He mentioned:

"I had zero interest in being an honest player. My thought was, how boring to go into this game that is so fun to watch when people are lying, that is so fun to celebrate when blindsides are being pulled off and you’re witnessing manipulation take stage."

Moreover, Quinn admitted to the mistakes he made in Big Brother. One of them was sending his two strong alliances, Joseph and Cedric, home, and not being able to see through Angela being a "dangerous player."

The Big Brother participant continued stating he had no idea why Joseph went home so early when he should've made it to the jury. As per Quinn, Joseph's alliance and his staying in the competition might have been beneficial for him in the long run.

"I definitely regret nominating Joseph way more than Cedric just because it was at a more crucial point in the game. Seeing Joseph go home pre-jury was dumb. I don’t know why I did that," Quinn added.

After exposing the Pentagon and the Collective alliances, Quinn wanted to prove to the remaining houseguests that he could be trusted. He mentioned that Chelsie was one of the housemates who he wanted to show that he could be a "consistent person."

"I keep telling myself that it was this longevity move where it’s like, ‘I’m gonna show Chelsie that I can be a consistent person with power, I can be trusted. My word means something in this game even though I’ve been selling you out since Day 1 with the Pentagon and the Collective,'"ehe explained.

Despite his efforts, Quinn's journey in Big Brother season 26 ended when he was voted out.
