Season 6 of Too Hot to Handle has ended with its third installment of episodes, i.e. episodes 8 to 10 released on August 2. Out of the 16 total contestants, the season started with, only two couples reached a successful culmination on the show.
Among these were Demari and Bri, and Charlie and Katherine. Episode 9 of the show saw Lana send all the couples on a date, except for the one couple who broke the rules, i.e. Sabrina and Chris.
While on their date, Demari chose to convey what he felt for Bri. He asked her to be his girlfriend and make things official. Bri said yes, and they became the first official couple to come out of Too Hot to Handle season 6.
What went down on Demari and Bri's date on Too Hot to Handle season 6 episode 9?
After Lana announced the couples were being sent on dates, Demari sat down with his Too Hot to Handle season 6 bestie, Chris. He confided in him he liked Bri and wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend. Chris echoed his sentiments and congratulated him.
While getting ready for her date, Bri took to a confessional to express how she felt about her and Demari. She said while she liked Demari, she still didn't trust him fully after he kissed Valentina on his date with her.
Then came the time for their actual date. Demari said that when his brother signed him up for Too Hot to Handle, he was envisioning a person like Bri for him. He added that if Bri were to meet his family, she would fit right in and Demari's family would accept her with open arms.
Bri told him she accepted the fact that they had built something worthwhile, but she was nervous after what he did to her with Valentina. She said she did not like being with people who have lied to her or are not fully committed to her. She then said in a confessional,
"My trust level for Demari is about 80%. I'm hoping Demari will give me the reassurance to get it all the way up to 100. If not, I'm not sure I want to move forward with him."
It was like Demari heard her in the confessional because he said exactly what he needed to say to get Bri to say yes to him. Demari owned up to the fact that he was the guy who would lie and cheat before he came to the retreat. He said that was one reason his brother sent him to Too Hot to Handle, and hoped he would change his ways.
Demari then apologized to her for hurting her and said that he was self-sabotaging. He said Too Hot to Handle had given him things to build on and put The Womb Workshop as an example. Demari reassured her further, adding he didn't want to run away from their "special" relationship. He told her he was going to be "100%" committed to her.
Bri also opened up and said she wasn't liking the place she was in until now and that she would also like to be vulnerable to him. Demari then asked what fans had been waiting for.
"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?"
Bri responded, "Duh," and saw their watches go green. In the confessional, she excitedly exclaimed, "I'm a girlfriend."
