In a group conversation, host Nick Lachey acknowledged the challenges contestant Nick faced during the experiment, noting the emotional toll it took on him in episode 7 of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Scotty supported this sentiment, saying,

"I just have to commend Nick, I mean to be in this experience, alone, vulnerable. I gotta shout you out for that, man." Nick thanked him and admitted, "I made mistakes through this experience. I am not perfect. I'm trying to grow."

Sandy, however, expressed doubts about Nick’s growth, responding,

"It doesn’t seem like that for me."

Caleb intervened, defending Nick by bringing up his immediate apology during a boys’ night, stating,

"I watched Nick come into the boys’ night and immediately, before he shook anyone else’s hand, came in with an apology."

Caleb said Nick’s effort to acknowledge his mistakes deserved recognition. J.R. countered Caleb’s defense, saying he wasn’t involved in their relationship and therefore shouldn’t comment.

J.R. added that Caleb hadn’t witnessed Sandy’s daily distress caused by Nick’s actions. Caleb maintained his stance, emphasizing Nick’s attempts to apologize. J.R. dismissed Caleb’s defense, saying it was not his business to talk about their relationship.

Sandy and J.R. reflect on Nick’s behavior in The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On

J.R. criticized Nick for his behavior, stating that he repeatedly contacted Sandy, showed up unannounced at their home, and knocked on their door continuously in The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. He questioned how Nick discovered where they lived and accused him of overstepping boundaries. In response, Nick explained,

"I thought the relationship was over, so I did all that. I’m sorry."

Sandy revealed that Nick’s actions had escalated recently, leading her to block him. She explained,

"It progressively has gotten worse, to the point where I had to block him."

She shared that while Nick had apologized, she felt his behavior didn’t align with his words.

J.R. then accused Nick of insincerity during the boys’ night, alleging that Nick made faces whenever Sandy’s name was mentioned. He suggested that this undermined the authenticity of Nick’s apology. Sandy became visibly emotional and started crying, recounting how Nick’s actions had affected her throughout the experiment.

Host Vanessa asked Sandy about her feelings, and she replied,

"It’s really sad and emotional for me because everyone else sees Nick in a positive way, but he has tormented me throughout this entire process."
