Love is Blind UK reunion has arrived, and has sent fans into a frenzy. The reunion episode released on August 26, and was shot a year after the season stopped filming. It saw all the couples of the season addressing controversial instances and answering questions about their current relationship status.
Fans of Love is Blind UK were curious to know about Freddie and Catherine's relationship after they left the altar unmarried. Emma, the host, asked Freddie about the earrings he gifted Catherine on their wedding day. She asked why would he give them those when he knew he wasn't going to marry her.
Freddie replied saying that if he didn't get the earrings, he would have been frowned upon for not getting Cat a present. On the contrary, if he did get them, he would have been seen as someone who was misleading her. However, his answer didn't go well with the audience, who took to X to comment on his reaction to the question.

"I still think that Freddie should have called it off before the altar. The earrings were so wrong of him," said one fan.
"Why would Freddie give Catherine those earrings if he was gonna say no?! Especially if you're gonna treat her like she's too bougie for you. I don't like her much but he needs to catch hands," another fan said.

After Freddie was done telling the audience that he would've been perceived wrongly even if he didn't gift Catherine the diamond studs, Matt Willis, the Love is Blind UK host, asked Catherine if she had kept the earrings. Catherine responded:
"When we split, I just thought it was the right thing just to give it back. I didn't want to bin them. I don't know".
She continued saying that she was in shock to see Freddie get her those earrings since it was unlike him. She said that was the reason she knew they meant a lot and was "so grateful" to receive them.
