"Easy target"— Love is Blind UK star Sam opens up about being bullied in school

Love is Blind UK wrapped up its first-ever season on August 21, 2024, with episodes 10 and 11 when several cast members made it to the aisle. While the season finale saw 12 participants appear in the last segment, there were others whose journey on the show ended earlier than expected.

One such cast member was Sam Klein. While on the show, the cast member was interested in Jasmine and Nicole and was briefly engaged to the latter. In his introductory video for the show, talked about his nose job. Later on the show, Sam spoke about his insecurities and told Nicole that "nobody" had ever loved him.

The cast member recently appeared on the Love is Blind UK podcast on August 24, 2024, with Matt and Emma Willis. The female co-host recalled his comments and stated he reminded her of an "insecure boy."

"You know, school was tough and I was quite an easy target. I was a bit overweight. My nose and I used to have like really long grunge hair, actually," Sam said.

He stated it was as if it was "brainwashed" into him that his nose was his "biggest problem."

While in a conversation with the co-hosts Emma and Matt Willis, Sam Klein opened up about getting a nose job. He said he put his "heart" and all his "money" into making that decision and admitted it made him feel much better about himself.

"We all have insecurities and it's about being able to open up and talk about it," Sam said.

Matt asked the Love is Blind UK star if he felt more "relaxed" about his insecurities presently. Sam stated that when the episodes of the social experiment came out, he thought about people knowing about his nose job. The cast member said he was "petrified" of people discovering pictures of him from when he was younger.

Despite such thoughts, Sam said he was all right with pictures from his past resurfacing because he might be able to help someone with the same. The cast member was asked about certain things he said while on the show, including telling Nicole he thought he loved her.

Sam explained that since he was unsure, it came out wrong. He added that he meant to tell Nicole that he might have been falling in love with him. He added he wished there were things he said a little differently.

The Love is Blind UK star recalled meeting Nicole for the first time and said he was a "nervous wreck." He added that he was trying to make her laugh but as he watched the segment back, he didn't understand what he did.

"But no, she did look gorgeous and her eyes are amazing. It was just a really bad nervous joke," Sam said.

He added that his comments stemmed from his own insecurities and he didn't mean any "harm" by them. He called the "reveal" the best part of the experiment and said he felt "surreal" in the moment. He hoped that he could learn the things he needed to do to become the person he wanted to be.

"I'm just a hopeless romantic," he added.

For the unversed, Sam Klein formed deep connections with two women on the show, Jasmine and Nicole. While both women were also torn between Sam and other men while in the pods, Jasmine let him go to pursue a relationship with Bobby.

Nicole, on the other hand, let Benaiah go to pursue Sam, and the two got engaged in episode 3. Their relationship was short-lived though as they didn't make it to the honeymoon phase of the reality show. Nicole revealed that she made a mistake by choosing Sam and was still interested in Benaiah. The two got married in Love is Blind UK finale
