“Emotionally unsafe” - Sister Wives star Robyn shares why her kids distanced themselves after the text chain

Sister Wives season 19 premiered on September 15, 2024, giving a glimpse into the lives of the Brown family. The newly released episode 2 highlighted the drift between Robyn and Christine after a Christmas text message chain last year. Christine shared that the text chain was about exchanging gifts but soon the conversation got heated.

According to Christine, Robyn claimed that she and her kids felt unwelcome around Kody and Christine's family. However, in her confessional interview, Christine clarified that she always welcomed everyone with open arms and invited them over quite often. She also talked about how her children were close to Robyn's kids.

Meanwhile, the Sister Wives star Robyn told the cameras that her children wanted to take a step back and maintain boundaries.

"So my older kids all said you know, this was of emotionally unsafe. We just need to kinda step back, we just need to put down a boundary here. It was never anything about we don't wanna see you again, we don't want anything to with you. It was just about like hey this got yucky."

Sister Wives season 19 episode 2, titled Let There Be Light, was released exclusively on TLC on September 22, 2024. The episode synopsis reads:

Robyn and her kids' point of view on Sister Wives season 19 episode 2

On Sister Wives season 19 episode 2, Robyn and Kody's children, Aurora and Breanna, told the cameras that they didn't feel accepted. During her confessional interview, Aurora shared that she and her siblings had experiences with Christine's family where they were told they weren't considered family. She said:

"I have been told directly on multiple circumstances by multiple different people that I was not accepted."

Breanna, on the other hand, shared that the parents could have "done a better job" in keeping the family united and closer together. As per Christine, her family and Robyn's kids now have an obvious drift and they are on opposite sides. Breanna said:

"The parents could have done a better job with connecting us as a family."

Meanwhile, Christine said she never made anyone feel left out and always included Robyn's family.

Kody chimed in on the conflict between his ex-wife and wife. He told the cameras that some of her family members considered themselves "superior" to other people in the family and wouldn't let them join their "club." The Sister Wives cast member also said that he was "kicked out" of the club as well. He continued:

"There's some people in my family that feel like they are superior than others. And they're like we're not gonna include them in out club. I am going to move forward and find happiness outside of that club cause it was my club and I got kicked out of it."

The upcoming episodes will further highlight the conflict between these two families and whether they will be resolved any time soon.
