In the reunion episode of Love is Blind UK, which aired on August 26, Sam and Benaiah revisited a heated argument that unfolded during a group outing. After the reunion, Sam also spoke to Tudum by Netlfix on August 27 and reflected on the incident:
"He [Benaiah] got me quite emotionally upset, and that's when I made that comment [about Nicole].

Sam, a product design manager working in London, joined Love is Blind UK in the hopes of finding the one thing he was lacking in his life—a committed relationship. As depicted on the show, Sam's strong belief in love was influenced by romantic comedies and his parents' long marriage. But he wasn't sure if he was ready for the experiment because he was recently getting over an intense breakup.
However, it soon became apparent that Sam's transition from emotional to physical connection was not as smooth as he had imagined as he made his way through the pods and eventually proposed to Nicole.
The connection with Nicole and the aftermath
Deep chats and a sincere sense of comfort propelled Sam and Nicole's strong bond in the pods. In his recent interview with Tudum by Netlfix, Sam was asked about this argument. He shared that he was surprised by the animosity he encountered at the mixer even though he had no bad sentiments toward Benaiah and Nicole since he found out they were dating.
Sam noted that he had hoped to settle things and move on, but things got out of hand very quickly. He said:
"But when I walked into the mixer, I could feel a lot of tension. I tried to compose myself and get through it. I'm just human and was just going in with the best intentions."
Sam added:
"When I heard that Benaiah wanted to speak to me, I actually thought he was going to come out and say, ‘Hey, dude, no hard feelings. Let's just hug it out.’ Unfortunately, it became quite a heated conversation."
Upon Benaiah's approach, Sam anticipated a polite exchange of words, possibly even an opportunity to settle any unresolved matters. Rather, the conversation turned contentious, with Sam being described as "emotionally upset."
The dispute revolved around Sam's remarks regarding his relationship with Nicole, especially his claim that he had shown her respect by delaying their s*xual intimacy. Sam felt that his intentions had been misunderstood, and the chat ended with both men agreeing to disagree.
In the Tudum by Netflix interview, he further clarified that his remarks on his physical contact with Nicole were intended to emphasize the respect he had shown her, not to lessen their bond. Sam underlined that he had made an effort to keep the connection going but eventually came to the conclusion that there was no spark. He said that he was disappointed that this had been used against him.
