Love Island USA season 6 aired its reunion special on August 19, 2024, during which the cast sat down for a conversation with Ariana Madix about their current relationship statuses and more.

While all four couples, Serena and Kordell, Leah and Miguel, JaNa and Kenny, and Nicole and Kendall, who made it to the finale revealed they were still together, one couple broke up soon after.

On August 20, 2024, both Kendall Washington and Nicole Jacky took to social media to announce their breakup. The male cast member wrote via Instagram stories that he decided to end things because his and Nicole's relationship had reached a point where it was unhealthy for them to continue dating.

In an Instagram story posted on August 20, 2024, Kendall Washington revealed that he ended his relationship with Nicole Jacky. While asking for the fans' understanding, he asked them to "stop with the negative" messages.

"I still love and care about Nicole. I've never developed such strong feelings for a woman in my life."

Nicole Jacky also took to social media to detail what happened between the Love Island USA season 6 couple. She wrote that two days before the breakup, she and Kendall agreed their relationship was "worth working on" and that they made plans for her to visit him in Dallas.

"However, today, on August 20th, he called and ended things," Nicole wrote.

The Love Island USA season 6 star added that although she understood and respected Kendall's decision, it was "hard to process." Recalling their journey on the Peacock show, she said she "opened up to him in the villa" and she still loved and cared for him.

"I'm struggling mentally and all I ask for is privacy during this time," she wrote.

While on Love Island USA season 6, Nicole and Kendall made it to the finale and finished in fourth position. In the same episode, before the winners were revealed, the four couples went on a date during which Kendall told Nicole he loved her. At the time, Nicole didn't say it back but assured him she had strong feelings for him.

Later in the episode, during Declaration of Love, Nicole and Kendall read out their vows to one another and Nicole told Kendall she loved him back.

In the season finale, which aired on July 21, 2024, Nicole said she didn't think she would find someone like him. She added that he had shown her "so much respect," "understanding," and honesty.

She told him he had been honest about his feelings from the beginning and it was her turn to do the same. The Love Island USA season 6 star added that Kendall was her "favorite person."

"You have this aura and energy to you that is so contagious to be around. The understanding and support you've given me since we've met is something I've never experienced," Nicole said.

She added that Kendall was "so genuine" and made her want to be "better every day." The Love Island USA star added that the male cast member was "everything" to her and told him Nicole was in love with him.

Are the rest of the Love Island USA season 6 finale couples still together?

While the relationship status for some of the finale couples was revealed during the reunion special, news about others' relationship status was previously revealed.

Earlier this month, on August 6, 2024, Kordell and Serena revealed that they were together in an Instagram story that has since then been removed. Two days later, JaNa and Kenny took to social media to announce their relationship status as Kenny had asked her to be his girlfriend.

As for Leah and Miguel, during the reunion special, the male season 6 star revealed that he asked Leah to be his girlfriend on her birthday.
