90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 made it to episode 12 on September 16, 2024. The episode saw the storylines intensifying as contestants from America are now fully settled abroad with their partners from a foreign country.

Episode 12 saw Shekinah and Sarper achieving new feats in their relationship like the other couples of the show. Wanting to resolve their issues, the duo took significant steps like couples therapy.

Their issues mainly stemmed from Shekinah being insecure about Sarper's past with women, which he had kept neatly sealed in a little black book. To resolve this, Sarper took her to a scrapyard to burn that book. He also broke all his alcohol bottles by tossing them because Shekinah had a problem with his drinking habits.

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé took to X to react to Sarper's act of subduing his partner's insecurity. Some supported him for burning his past away and not letting it come in the way of its present, while others criticized him by saying that it wasn't going to make a difference.

"So breaking these bottles is for plastic doll girl. NOT for using all those women he f—ked and moved on from. I don't believe this book burning. I want to see the names and dates. Or else this fake for tv," a fan wrote.

Sarper drove Shekinah to the scrapyard and handed her a pair of glasses and gloves, making her and the viewers curious about what was to go down, in episode 12 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6. He then brought out a sack of his alcohol bottles and started bashing them on the heap of scrap.

He said it was the best thing to do to let out one's stress, and manage anger. While breaking the bottles, he said:

"Delete my past."

He added that he was relieved as this act made him experience "freedom." He offered some bottles to Shekinah too, which she smashed as they bonded.

Sarper then started a small fire and asked Shekinah to stand beside him. He pulled out his little black book and started ripping its pages to burn them, one after the other. Shekinah was pleasantly surprised to see it. He told her he was doing this to end everything she had an issue with.
