The Bachelorette contestant Grant Ellis was chosen as the next Bachelor for the upcoming season 29 of the show. The already thrilling announcement got even more exciting because contrary to popular demand, Grant was eliminated in episode 6 of The Bachelorette which was released on August 12. The same date as the big announcement. So while fans were still shocked to lose him, they found out he was going to be back.
Fans were shocked by his elimination because the chances of his elimination in the latest episode were rather thin. This was because he had received a date rose in the previous episode 5.
His elimination caused a social media frenzy as fans were confused about how Jenn so quickly went from giving him a date rose to eliminating him. He was also quite popular with the fans which is why they were disappointed with his eviction.
When he was announced as the next Bachelor on The Bachelor's official X account, fans were thrilled to know that they would see him again. They expressed their approval of the decision by commenting on the said announcement post and retweeting it.
"LOVE this! Grant is a fantastic choice!" one fan wrote.

"YAAAAAA GRANT FOR BACHELOR!!!! Bring back actually desirable men as bachelor!!!!" one user wrote.
"I wasn’t expecting that! He’s going to be great," wrote another user.

What went down on episode 6 of The Bachelorette season 21
Episode 6 of The Bachelorette brought with itself a Jenn with 7 remaining contestants. She had four roses to give, which meant three of those 7 would go home. For her one-on-one dates in this episode, she chose Marcus and Jeremy.
Marcus was already a recipient of two date roses in the previous episodes so his chances of him receiving another one on his one-on-one date were rather high. And after opening up about his family issues with Jenn, he won the rose.
Jenn's time on The Bachelorette with Jeremy was rather scanty, so when she picked him for a one-on-one she hoped to test if she had the possibility of a future with him. When they discussed their views on topics such as family, kids, and religion, most of them matched, which made her give him a rose.
Sam was the first person to get evicted outside the rose ceremony after he gave confusing answers to Jenn's questions about the future instead of reassuring her.
Now, in a race between the remaining four contestants Devin, Jonathan, Spencer, and Grant; Devin and Jonathan won, which ascertained the exit of Grant along with Spencer.
New episodes of The Bachelorette season 21 drop on Mondays, at 8 pm ET, on ABC.
