Love is Blind season 7 showed ups and downs in every couple's relationship, especially Hannah and Nick's. As fans already know both of them connected with each other in the pods, decided to get engaged sight unseen and stepped into the real world with the intention to soon be married. However, things took a different turn when the problems in their relationship arose.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on October 17, 2024, the 29-year-old real estate agent, Nick D opened up about his experience on the show and what went wrong between him and Hannah. He shared that his partner didn't consider him as an equal in their relationship despite him being "financially literate, understanding, mature and respectful".

Nick explained:

"I am as intellectual as her. I'm not the type to say, 'I'm better than you at this, this, and that.' Clearly, I felt like I wasn't an equal in the relationship, and throughout the show I was understanding and respectful and mature and sincere and financially literate."

Love is Blind season 7 contestant Nick reflects on his relationship

As fans already know from the episodes, Hannah had made a list of things Nick needed to work on. The couple got into an argument when Nick found out about that list. However, this wasn't the main problem in their relationship. According to the Love is Blind contestant, he didn't agree with Hannah's statements about him not matching her at an intellectual and financial level.

Nick stated that he didn't feel equal to his partner on the show. He told the interviewer about his career linked to real estate and how it was impossible for him not to be financially literate. Sharing his educational background, the Love is Blind star said he has "graduated from William & Mary with two great degrees."

Despite Hannah claiming multiple times that Nick was being disrespectful towards her, Nick thought her statements were "ironic" when he was the one being respectful and mature in their relationship. Later, Nick realized he couldn't "save" the connection they had, he elaborated:

"The things she was saying, I didn't agree with, but at that point, I realized there's nothing I could really do to save the relationship."

When Hannah called Nick before they went for their wedding attire fitting, Nick knew she was going to end things with him. In his interview, Nick called Hannah an independent woman who was sure of what she wanted.

However, Nick did believe that her friend's opinion of him directly affected and influenced her decision-making process, even though she said she did what she thought was right. The Love is Blind contestant added:

"As you can see from the show, Hannah is a very strong independent woman, likes to speak her mind, and it's hard to sway her opinion. So I knew when she called me up that the conversation wasn't going to be a good one and we were probably going to be done."

To see Nick and Hannah's journey on Love Is Blind season 7, fans can stream episodes 1 to 11 exclusively on Netflix. The upcoming season finale episode will air on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, followed by the reunion episode which will be released on October 30, 2024, at 9 pm ET.
