Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec is one of the sharks on the ABC reality TV series. He has invested in many businesses and has also guided young aspiring entrepreneurs. Herjavec is the founder of Herjavec Group, which was started in 2003; now it is called Cyderes. According to his ABC bio, he is a motivational speaker, a cybersecurity expert, and a business expert as well.

An Instagram reel was posted to Robert Herjavec's official account on January 19, 2025. In the clip, the Shark Tank investor shared an important piece of advice for students who were rejected by their dream school. Robert shares financial as well as life advice on his social media accounts to provide assistance to the youth regarding financial and business matters. He said:

"You take the rejection letter, you frame it, you put it up on a wall. And you let that fuel your passion in order to become successful."

The clip's description states:

"Here’s what to do when someone rejects you."

Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec discusses the importance of rejection and failure

In the clip, the Shark Tank investor advised students who received a rejection letter to frame it. The main purpose behind this is to fuel the passion and not let the rejection or failure discourage the student. He also said that it doesn't matter how many times other people say no; staying focused on your target goal is important.

At the end of the clip, he stated that students should not choose the expensive option for their education if it will lead to a "massive debt" in the future. He continued:

"Because it doesn't matter how many times people say no to you. It's what you do with it. And don't go into massive debt to get a better education."

The Shark Tank star has previously talked about the importance of gaining knowledge and education. In a video posted to his LinkedIn account back in November 2024, Robert shared that education is "more valuable than money." The video focused on the "value of wealth and education to the power of overcoming fear and taking care of your health" as the key aspects to achieving success.

This advice is for young people who are recent graduates and are looking for employment. Herjavec mentioned that an individual should look for a job not just to make money and get rich but to "learn something." The Shark Tank star continued:

"Education is more valuable than money. Never take a job for a paycheck, take it to learn something."

In another 2016 interview with CNBC, Herjavec talked about how failure shapes the individual. He compared failure and success with one another, stating both were a "responsibility." He further elaborated:

“You’re going to get knocked down. You just got to get up again and you got to keep going because at the end of the day, success is your responsibility, and so is failure. Sometimes you got to go really low. Sometimes you got to hit bottom before you can bounce back up.”

To receive more financial and life advice, reality TV fans can follow Robert Herjavec on his official Instagram account. All previous seasons of Shark Tank are available to stream on ABC. The new season 16 airs on ABC every Friday at 8 pm ET.
