Kaycee Clark and Nany González, known for their appearances on The Challenge, have announced the end of their engagement. In a joint statement shared on Instagram stories on January 25, 2025, the couple revealed that they have decided to part ways. The statement read:
“After a lot of reflection, Kaycee and I have decided to go our separate ways. This definitely wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s what’s best for the both of us.”
Kaycee and Nany met during the 2019 season of The Challenge: Total Madness. They started dating in 2021 and quickly became popular with fans for their connection on and off the show. In September 2023, they got engaged and shared a proposal video from Thailand’s Phi Phi Islands. Recently, however, they announced their breakup and requested privacy as they move forward separately.
The couple's journey from meeting in The Challenge to engagement
Kaycee and Nany met while filming The Challenge: Total Madness in 2019. Although they did not start dating immediately, their bond developed over the next few years. By 2021, they began sharing moments of their relationship on Instagram, confirming their romance to their fans and followers. Their posts often highlighted their connection and experiences, both on and off the show.
In September 2023, Nany proposed to Kaycee during a trip to Thailand. The proposal took place on a beach, where Nany included a fiery sign that read (via US Magazine):
“Will U Marry Me?"
The moment was captured in a video later shared in a joint Instagram post.
“My heart is full of love and gratitude for the joy you have brought into my life, Kaycee Noelle,” the caption read.
During interviews, the couple spoke about their plans after engagement. They shared their hopes of getting married and starting a family through IVF.
The couple's joint statement about the breakup and relationship
In their Instagram statement, Kaycee and Nany expressed gratitude for the support they received throughout their relationship. They stated that the decision to separate was mutual and came after much consideration. The couple stated:
“We’re both moving forward with love and kindness in our hearts.”
The breakup comes more than a year after their engagement and follows several public discussions about their future. In 2022, during an exclusive interview with US Weekly at the VMAs, the couple discussed their plans for the future. Nany revealed that marriage was their next step, followed by starting a family.
“We have talked about it a lot. The next step, obviously, would be marriage. And then, of course, after that would be children,” she said.
She added that they were exploring IVF as an option for having kids. Kaycee agreed that they wanted to be thoughtful in their decisions.
“We’re not going to just jump into whatever. Of course, there’s talk out there, but I guess we’ll see.” Kaycee added.
During their time on Spies, Lies and Allies, Kaycee and Nany’s bond grew stronger, even as they faced the challenge of competing against each other in the finale. Nany later shared that their friendship had developed over three seasons of The Challenge before they began dating.
She explained that this foundation made "transitioning" their relationship to the real world easy. According to Nany, they enjoyed the opportunity to share their lives beyond the show, connecting with their families and friends while still participating in the exciting and competitive environment of The Challenge.
All the episodes of The Challege Season 40 can be streamed on Hulu.
