Shark Tank Australia premiered on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, on 10 Play. Four episodes have been released so far. Shark Tank is a show where business owners pitch their products to businessmen, and this season's sharks are Robert Herjavec, Jane Lu, Davie Fogarty, Maxine Horne, and Nick Bell. In the latest episode, Kelric Mullen and Mackenzie Salisbury, two students from Brisbane University, pitched the Flashback ONE35 Camera on the Channel 10 series.

Kelric Mullen introduced himself as a mechatronic engineering and chemistry student at the University of Queensland. Meanwhile, Mackenzie Salisbury shared that he studied business and film at Queensland University of Technology.

They introduced their cameras as a product that makes viewers revisit the nostalgic era through a winder, viewfinder, and retro bright flash. It also has a modern feature to connect it to the app on different phones. They told the Shark Tank judges that their product raised $800,000 in May 2023, and towards the end of November 2024, both the students were to make total revenue of $3 million.

They predicted revenue of $15 million towards the end of 2025. Upon hearing this, David Fogarty was impressed by the product, he said:

"The biggest gifting product I have seen. They're going to be millionaires from this."

Shark Tank Australia season 6 episode 4 was released exclusively on 10 Play on November 6, 2024. The episode synopsis mentions a brief information about the retro camera pitch, saying:

"Will and Woody go undercover pitching an edible serviette. A camera that takes 27 photos, a basic band to hold clothes into place, and a cabin bag that converts into a stroller."

Kelric Mullen and Mackenzie Salisbury's Flashback ONE35 Camera pitch on Shark Tank

The founders of the Flashback ONE35 Camera, Kelric Mullen and Mackenzie Salisbury, wanted $500,000 for a 7% stake; however, Maxine Horne offered the same amount at a 10% stake. The duo was excited to work alongside Horne, the founder of Vita Group. Horne told the Shark Tank participants:

"I do have a soft spot for you, so I am going to give you an offer… what a perfect thing to have a retro shark invest in your retro product."

Mullen shared that he was excited to have someone on his team to provide them with guidance and assistance. He was also glad they had one thing in common linked to the University of Queensland, Mullen continued:

"I am very excited to be working with Maxine. Especially her history with the University of Queensland, who we have worked with in the past, she just seems like the perfect person for us to work with."

Mullen expressed gratitude towards his partner and co-founder Salisbury, calling him a "genius." He said:

"He is the man that makes things into reality. My thing is ideas and creativity. Mack and I have always been driven from the get-go. We have both dived headfirst into this. The big difference now is we've got some experience on our side – we've got some mentorship on our side."

Mullen thanked his high school teacher Jessie-Lee Croghan, who taught him business at Trinity Anglican School in Cairns and introduced the Shark Tank participant to the 10Play show.

New episodes of Shark Tank Australia season 6 air every week on Wednesday at 7:30 pm exclusively on Channel 10 and 10 Play.
