Kendall Jenner has expressed confidence in her chances of winning the family Christmas wrapping competition for a fourth consecutive year. During a holiday-themed house tour with Architectural Digest on December 23, 2024, the 29-year-old model shared her thoughts on the annual event, stating,

“I feel like I am – the last three years running – probably the winner. I think it’s probably gonna happen again this year.”

Jenner's wrapping choice for this year features a burgundy and white-striped design, adorned with a velvet burgundy bow, which she described as “chic and gorgeous – kind of simple, but I love it.”

The Kardashian-Jenner family’s annual wrapping competition

The Kardashian-Jenner family has an ongoing holiday tradition of participating in a Christmas wrapping competition each year.

“Anyone who kind of follows our family knows that we kind of have a Christmas wrapping competition going on every year,” Jenner explained during the house tour.

Each member of the family competes to create the most unique and festive gift presentations, making this competition an annual highlight in the family’s celebrations. Kendall Jenner's statement about her past victories indicates that she has won the competition for the previous three years, and she expressed her belief that this year’s wrapping would continue her streak of success.

The Christmas wrapping competition among the Kardashian-Jenner family has had some of the most creative and unique wrapping styles in recent years. Kim Kardashian, for instance, has used custom cotton jersey T-shirts to wrap her gifts in the past, providing a unique and personal touch.

Kourtney Kardashian Barker has also joined the competition in previous years where she used more eco-friendly wrapping paper like recycled paper. Kendall Jenner added that although the designs of wrapping papers are different, it remains one of the best and most favorite traditions they do during holidays.

Kim Kardashian’s early prediction of Kris Jenner’s victory

Although Kendall Jenner remains confident in her potential victory, her sister Kim Kardashian had already made a prediction weeks earlier regarding the 2024 competition. On her Instagram Stories, Kim shared a video showing their mother Kris Jenner’s custom wrapping paper, which featured portraits of each family member. Kim remarked,

“Okay, I think my mom wins on the Christmas wrapping this year. How cute is this?”

She went on to note that Kris's wrapping made it “very easy to see whose gift is whose,” showing the practicality of the personalized design. Kim Kardashian’s early endorsement of Kris Jenner's wrapping choice highlights the family’s competitive nature when it comes to holiday traditions.

Special family gifts and traditions

Besides the wrapping contest, Kendall Jenner also had an interesting story about the personal family gift in the Architectural Digest tour. She shared that Kris Jenner gave her the original ornaments belonging to the family made by Christopher Radko, which were passed on through generations.

These ornaments, which included glass log cabins, Santas, and snowmen, were sentimental to Jenner.

“My mom’s had these since before I was born. I thought she had given them to another sister of mine — which, I will not name names — and I got really sad and had a breakdown to her,” Kendall explained.

Kendall Jenner was surprised and moved when her mother gave her the ornaments this year, preserving a cherished family tradition.
