Love is Blind's Garrett gets blessings from Tylor's dad

As Love is Blind star Garrett prepared for his wedding day, he shared a heartfelt moment with Tylor's dad, who stepped in to help him with his bow tie. He joked while recalling his wedding day before Garrett expressed his thoughts on the day's importance.

In the finale episode, Garrett told Tylor's dad that he understood the gravity of the decision he would face at the altar. The quantum physicist reassured him that he was completely confident in his feelings for Tylor, emphasizing that he wouldn't stand before the altar to say "Yes" unless he was entirely certain about his fiancée.

"I mean, she's an amazing person. I don't have to convince you, obviously. And it feels so right. And it feels so good. And I couldn't go through with this with anyone else. I love your daughter," Garrett added.

To bolster Garrett's confidence, Tylor's dad shared that his wife, Fong, had an incredible intuition and could "read people spot on." He assured Garrett that if there had been anything off or concerning about his daughter’s relationship on the reality show, Fong would have definitely voiced her concerns.

Taylor's dad delved into the format of Love is Blind and talked about how his daughter was deciding on marriage within a span of a few weeks.

"I knew my daughter was gonna get married someday to a great guy like you. I had no doubt about it. I just didn't think it was gonna happen in a matter of weeks. Normally, it's, like, a couple years maybe, you know? But if you're in love, you're in love. I mean, you can't make that up," he said.

Garrett expressed his gratitude to Tylor's dad for their earlier conversation and for the approval and blessing he had given him to marry his daughter.

The Love Is Blind star recalled a memorable statement from Tylor’s father during their last meeting. Tylor’s father had said that his daughter was a "gift to the world" and that Garrett’s role wasn’t just to receive that gift but to uplift it and help Taylor become the best version of herself.

"My job is just to just be there for her and support her and make sure she fulfills, like, who she should be and who she wants to be. I promise to take great care of her. I promise to be there for her and always respect her and put her feelings first," the quantum physicist added.

Tylor's dad shared that he had no doubts about the Love Is Blind contestant and his intentions. He gave Garrett his blessings and told him he had his "undivided attention" if he ever needed anything from him and Taylor's mother.

Concluding his thoughts, Taylor's dad told Garrett:

"We have to be there for our friends and our family when they need us. Um, so it's not, you know, it's not always gonna be fun and games. There will be tough times. But you will get through it."
