In the video, Shark Tank investor compared the 9 to 5 work model with the project-base model. Kevin highlighted that technological advancements drive "efficiencies." He mentioned that timezone differences don't matter much for companies because employees are good at following their own project-based schedules.

Kevin further shared how this work model has proved beneficial for firms as they can hunt for talent from all around the world. He added that there are no restrictions or limitations to hiring "talented" and hardworking individuals from outside of where the company's headquarters are located. He said that it leads to the growth of the company which indirectly contributes to more profit.

Kevin O'Leary elaborated on the topic while giving an example:

"If there's specialists in Saudi Arabia or Riyadh that you need and you're headquartered in Sans Francisco, you put them in an office here. The time zones don't matter anymore because the workflows have turned into project-based work."

The Shark Tank investor shared that his businesses also have employees from all across the globe. He said that despite not following the traditional 9-to-5 work model, his employees are "best at what they do" and have the liberty to either work from offices or their homes. Talking about the new age of digitalization, Kevin stated:

"So we have that in all of our business too, we have employees all around the world because they're the best at what they do, and their ability to manage themselves based on project scheduling not nine to five work."

He continued to explain how the global economy has been affected in a positive way through the project-based work model:

"Some of them work out of their home, some of them work in offices, but that's the nature of what digitilization did to the global economy over the last 36 months."
