"Hard choices have to be made" — Beast Games Player 539 comments on saving his "best friend" Player 359

Beast Games released episode 7 on Thursday, January 23, 2025. It saw an intense elimination task, titled Trolley Problem, that sent home multiple players and finalized the top 10. The fate of the evictees was decided by one captain elected by the majority in every round. Player 539, when voted as the captain the second time, chose to eliminate three contestants and save his friend, Player 359.

Although the remaining contestants were against his decision, Player 539 stated it had to be done. After serving two captaincies, Player 539, Akira, had eliminated six contestants from the race to $5 million.

"I just took away six people's dreams of winning that money, keeping my best friend in this game. I just gotta keep reminding myself that it is a game, and you know, hard choices have to be made," Akira said.

In Trolley Problem, the elected captain of each round had to nominate three of their "least favorite" players for elimination. The nominees would then stand on one of two train tracks. MrBeast explained that a train would approach the players once they took their positions.

It would then be the captain's decision to either send the train in their direction or pull a lever to change the train's track and save them. However, with every round, MrBeast introduced a new twist.

"I'm in shock" — Beast Games Player 359 reacts to being saved

The first round saw Akira nominate Players 952, 626, and 182. After the players stood on the red track, MrBeast revealed a yellow Lamborghini on the yellow track. Akira could either save the players and let the train destroy the car or keep the vehicle and eliminate the players. After much deliberation, Player 539 pulled the lever sending the train on the contestants' track.

The nominees watched their dummies, placed on the track as their representatives get destroyed, concluding their time on Beast Games. Although Akira apologized to the participants, Player 952, Mia, was not pleased.

"He's not gon' last. He's gon' be right with us," she said.

Despite witnessing the outcome of his decision, Akira was elected as the captain for the second round with 15 votes in his favor. MrBeast then announced that the prize for this round was a brand-new Tesla. Soon after, Player 539 was asked to pick his three "least favorite" people. Akira chose Players 907, 990, and 351.

Player 990, Eric pleaded his case, saying his family needed that money since they were going through "some tough times" after losing Eric's sister to brain cancer the previous year. Meanwhile, all three Beast Games nominees vowed to help Akira get to the finish line if he saved them.

However, before the round started MrBeast revealed a twist. Instead of standing on the track opposite the one with the car, they had to stand on the track with the Tesla.

"We're not playing the same game every time," MrBeast said.

The Beast Games host then revealed that going on the other track would be Akira's "closest friend," Player 359, Colton. The twist left Akira in a tough spot as he had to choose between saving his friend or three of his "least favorite" players along with the Tesla.

The remaining Beast Games participants wondered if Akira would go for another car or choose to destroy it since he had already won a Lamborghini in the previous round. While deliberating his decision, Player 539 confessed he wanted Colton to "win that money."

"Right now in this game, he's my best friend," he added.

Although Player 359 felt "scared" and "nervous," he trusted Akira to make the right decision. After much thought, Player 539 sent the train on the track with the Tesla, eliminating the three players and saving his friend, Colton.

While reflecting on Akira's decision, Player 359 said:

"Dude, I have no words right now. I'm in shock. I'm so fortunate. I'm in debt to you."

The round stirred the group's dynamics, as many criticized Akira's gameplay. In the third round of Trolley Problem, the contestants chose Player 865 as their captain, who nominated Akira and Colton for elimination.

In a major turn of events, not only did Player 865 eliminate Akira and Colton but she also eliminated herself after MrBeast introduced a twist.
