As Dancing With The Stars aired its second episode of season 33 on September 24, 2024, Anna Delvey and Ezra Sosa were eliminated along with Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov. Anna and Ezra scored 18 points in the first week and 17 points in the second, bringing their total to 35, while Tori and Pasha scored 36.
Anna danced in the style of Quickstep but was disappointed by the announcement made by hosts Alfonso and Julianne that America had decided to send them home. She expressed in tears that there was "nothing" that she gained from the show. Her partner had nothing but praise for her when he posted on Instagram on September 26.
Ezra, a first-time pro dancer in the show, expressed gratitude towards his partner, who had been a controversial addition to this year's Dancing With The Stars. Anna is a convicted con artist and was released from prison in 2022 and remains under house arrest, due to which she has an ankle monitor. Ezra described his experience with Anna in a positive light and claimed to have seen a new side of hers.
"As my first time as a pro on @dancingwiththestars, I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience. I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to my partner, Anna Delvey. Yes, she’s been controversial, but working with her gave me the chance to see a different side— one filled with her hard work, determination, and resilience," wrote Ezra.
Ezra Sosa wants America to see a new side of Anan Delvey after Dancing with the Stars
For Ezra Sosa, this run-in with the popular reality show was his first opportunity to showcase to the world his talents. Thanking the Dancing with the Stars family, Ezra claimed that he felt a part of the production team, and through this experience, he was a changed man. He claimed that this is just the "beginning of the next chapter" in his life, and he will be back as "this is not goodbye."
Concluding the caption on the post, Ezra thanked his Dancing with the Stars partner once again and hoped to make more content with her in the future.
"I want to thank you for dancing with me and for opening up. You allowed me to see a side of you that not many have, and I’m grateful for that. I truly hope that one day, America gets to meet that side of you too. They will love her just as much as I do. Wishing you the best and can’t wait to hangout and make TikTok’s soon," wrote Ezra.
Crimes of Dancing with the Stars contestant Anna Delvey explored
Anna Delvey was born in Russia as Anna Sorokin and spent part of her young adulthood in Germany as she moved there when she was 16. She then moved to New York City in 2013 after living in Paris and London. She posed as a wealthy German heiress and frequently mingled with some of New York’s well-known socialites, investors, and others in the art world.
This helped her string together a bunch of scams. She opened the Anna Delvey Foundation and took a loan of $100,000 to fund the project, which was based on forged bank documents. Anna used to book luxury hotel rooms with just the promise of paying the establishment later. She would switch hotels eventually when the management would kick her out for not paying.
In October 2017, Anna was charged and arrested in New York City on multiple charges, including grand larceny in the first degree, grand larceny in the second degree, and theft of services.
