Perfect Match season 2 cast member Christine Obanor is not unfamiliar with the Netflix dating universe. She had previously appeared on the fifth installment of Too Hot to Handle. Renowned for her bold personality, Christine entered the Perfect Match villa in episode 8 with her eyes set on Kaz Bishop, who was paired with fellow co-star Micah Lussier.

In the episode, the boys were sent to a cenote to have a relaxing time. They were soon joined by the eliminated female contestants and other women who had not entered the villa yet. Among them was Christine Obanor, who spent her entire time trying to connect with Kaz. Fans took to X to express their disapproval of her consistent actions. One person tweeted:

Some claimed Christine behaved that way because she wanted to be in the limelight:

"Like youre already on a show u don't have to try sooo hard for clout," wrote another fan.
"Christine behavior is so embarrassing and pathetic #perfectmatch," a person said.
"Yes. Plus begging for a kiss for practically the whole day. Eew!," another person wrote.

Some fans drew similarities between Christine Obanor's conduct on Perfect Match and Too Hot to Handle.

"She was absolutely crazy on too hot to handle so no wonder when he said 'I don't know if I should be scared' I said YES YOU SHOULD BE," a tweet said.

Most fans felt uncomfortable watching her trying to get close to Kaz despite knowing he was paired with Micah.

"It literally makes her look like a cartoon character rather than a normal person It's icky," commented a fan.
"It's not even just that. I hate how she's actively trying to force the guys to say yes to her. It was so cringe how she was begging Kaz to kiss her at the mixer," another fan commented.
"Christine is entirely too thirsty. Not a cute look. #PerfectMatch #PerfectMatchNetflix," wrote another fan.
"She needed to take it down a thousand...Jesus," one person wrote.

What happened between Christine Obanor and Kaz Bishop in Perfect Match season 2?

Christine Obanor entered Perfect Match in episode 8 when she crashed the boys' mixer with other girls. She introduced herself as a confident person who could turn heads without much effort.

"I really don't have to do much to stand out. I am a 6'1" goddess with long legs that go on for days," she said.

Christine immediately hit it off with Kaz. She knew she could forge an alliance with him when he confessed he was unsure about his relationship with Micah. She started talking to Kaz, intending to make him her match by the end of the day.

"I definitely am good at getting what I want. I like to put everything in my eyes. If I just stare into their soul, I know they'll fold like a lawn chair," said Christine Obanor.

As the episode progressed, Harry Jowsey dared Christine and Kaz to kiss each other. While Kaz hesitated to succumb to the temptation, Christine continued to encourage him to do it. She pointed out that he did not need to be loyal to Micah as he was not ''married'' to her.

Kaz confided in Christine Obanor about the issues in his relationship with his match. Consequently, she encouraged him to choose her over Micah, for she had better things to offer. After the cast members returned to the villa in episode 9, Christine pushed Kaz into confessing she was his "number one."

Soon, in a game of Flip Cup, Kaz kissed his other interest, Holly. Upon witnessing that, Micah broke up with him. Christine Obanor saw the opportunity and confronted Kaz about his feelings for her.

Unable to hold back further, he asked her to be his match, and she responded positively. The newly formed couple is currently heading to the finale of Perfect Match season 2.

Perfect Match season 2 aired on June 7, 2024. The finale is set to release on June 21 only on Netflix.
