Sister Wives season 19 showcases how the dynamics within the Brown family have changed since the patriarch Kody Brown parted ways from three of his wives. Kody legally and spiritually married Meri Brown, his first wife, in 1990. After that, he married Janelle and Christine in 1993 and 1994, respectively. As of now, Kody is in a monogamous marriage with his only wife Robyn Brown.

What happened between Kody and Robyn on Sister Wives season 19 episode 16?
On Sister Wives season 19 episode 16, Robyn had a discussion with Kody about their family situation. She asked Kody if he was doing okay after her split from his three wives and addressed how distant everyone was from each other. Kody opened up about his feelings sharing that having "one home" and a united family was his goal but later he realized it wasn't what everyone wanted.
During his confession interview, Kody reflected on how much his relationship with Robyn had changed since they became a monogamous couple. He told the cameras:
"Robyn and my relationship has been changing vastly over the past three years."
Robyn on the other hand, shared her observation that over time Kody changed as did his family members. She could understand why Kody was "angry" about the situation. The Sister Wives star had also talked about having to question her identity in the previous episodes as she never thought only she and Kody would remain as a couple in the end. Robyn said:
