In Season 7 of Love Is Blind, the complexities of love and choice have taken center stage, particularly through the experiences of Leo Braudy, who found himself torn between two connections: Hannah Jiles and Brittany Wisniewski.
As the drama continues to unfold, fellow contestant Tyler Francis has come forward to defend Leo, asserting that:
“I think he came in with pure intentions and it’s hard to watch so far”.
Tyler, 34, has also spoken to US Weekly on October 3, 2024, about Leo's financial discussions and the perception surrounding them.
“He didn’t talk about money that much at all,” Tyler clarified.
Leo, 31, an art dealer who inherited his family business, discussed his lifestyle and future aspirations with potential partners, including the topic of a prenup. However, Tyler dismissed any notion that Leo's wealth overshadowed his personality, saying:
“From what I’m hearing, maybe... he’s never talked money with the guys.”
Leo's struggle to choose between Hannah and Brittany has emerged as a significant storyline.
Love Is Blind: Leo's dilemma
Inside the pods, Leo grappled with his feelings for both women. He was interested in Hannah, 26, because of her intellect, while Brittany, 33, drew him in with her vibrant personality and spiritual conversations. The emotional stakes were high as Leo struggled to express his feelings to both women. He said this in an interview with Tudum on Oct. 3, 2024:
“I was totally raw... and that contributed a lot to how I reacted”
The situation escalated when Hannah began to bond with Nick Dorka, which led to Leo and Hannah's mutual breakup. Tyler noted the difficulties Leo faced during this process. Despite his strong connection with Brittany, Leo's lingering feelings for Hannah complicated their relationship.
In his pursuit of Brittany, Leo even proposed with a rhyming poem:
“I love your voice and every word you say / I found my queen from Baltimore.”
However, Brittany was uncertain about the proposal and expressed her discomfort about being Leo’s second choice.
The aftermath: Why Brittany and Leo are no longer together
Despite their connection, Leo and Brittany's journey in Love Is Blind ultimately concluded with their separation. Following the proposal, Brittany struggled with her feelings, admitting she wasn’t ready to say “I love you” to Leo.
This reluctance stemmed from the fact that she felt like a second option, leading to tension in their relationship. Brittany told Tudum:
“I can’t rack my brain [about] how my future husband could be torn between me and another person.”
Brittany and Leo eventually chose to go their separate ways after their time on Love Is Blind.
Tyler's defense of Leo sheds light on the complexities of his emotions within the show's context.
The narrative around Leo's wealth became a focal point early in the season, but Tyler emphasized that their time in the living quarters painted a different picture. Referring to his closer bonds with contestants like Bohdan Olinares and Garrett Josemans, Tyler admitted:
“I didn’t talk to Leo as much as the other guys.”
