Cynthia Bailey, a cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) spoke about her new relationship during an interview with Us Weekly on November 23, 2024. While speaking to the publication at the Bravo Fan Fest, the 57-year-old revealed that she was dating a man from Amsterdam. She opened up about her relationship with the younger man, explaining that she wasn't actively looking for a younger partner.
“I’m dating an amazing young guy, from Amsterdam....I wasn’t looking for a young guy. He found me,” she shared.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star described how the two saw each other for the first time at an event in Los Angeles and felt a connection. However, they didn't begin talking until her now-boyfriend reached out to her on social media.
While Cynthia hasn't revealed her boyfriend's identity to the public, she told Us Weekly that fans might catch "sneak peeks" of him during upcoming RHOA episodes. She mentioned that the couple spoke "a lot" on FaceTime and the cameras tried to zoom into the screen when they were on such calls.
The RHOA star was previously married to Peter Thomas from 2010 to 2017 and Mike Hill from 2020 to 2022.

However, Bailey's boyfriend, whose identity she has yet to reveal, reached out to her on social media a few days later. She recounted how he slid into her DMs and that "it worked."
Bailey emphasized that the couple values their privacy and does not heavily engage in social media. That being said, she did note that fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta might still catch glimpses of him. Bailey hinted that her boyfriend occasionally appears on the show.
"You do see some snippets of him...Like, we FaceTime a lot. And every time we would FaceTime, the cameras would be zooming in, so you might get a little sneak peek," she added.
She also mentioned that her boyfriend does not watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta, adding that he "has no idea what's happening."
Focus on acting and career
While Cynthia Bailey’s love life is thriving, her career is also taking a new direction. She is set to return to RHOA for season 16 as a "friend," instead of a full-time cast member, since she is currently focusing on her acting career.
Having been a returning full-time on RHOA for over a decade, Bailey expressed her desire to prioritize other endeavors at this stage of her life. She said that she wasn't going to leave the show and explained that she wouldn't say "ever," but she hadn't thought of it right now.
Apart from acting, Bailey has also ventured into podcasting, launching a show titled Humble Brag alongside Crystal Minkoff. She explained how the flexibility of being a “friend” on The Real Housewives of Atlanta allows her to enjoy filming with the cast while also going on trips with them.
“I feel like I’m really in the sweet spot right now...I still get to film with the ladies. I get to go on the trips. I actually filmed with them quite a bit, so you guys will see a lot of me in season 16." she said.
Bailey expressed that this balance has allowed her to live her best life while also remaining connected to the world of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She went on to tease that season 16 would be full of exciting moments, offering a sneak peek into what viewers can expect.
“Season 16 is going to be incredible. You guys are in for a treat,” she concluded.
The RHOA star is navigating a new chapter in her life and is committed to her personal growth and happiness. Cynthia Bailey stated that while dating can be difficult, especially as she gets older, she was happy in her current relationship.
“I’m very much in love....Dating is really not easy, especially at this point in my life...” she said.
