Love After Lockup season 5 episode 37 was released on Friday, September 6, and saw the ex-prisoners still getting used to their new life after they got out. Some were taking it on slowly but smoothly, while others were having a hard time.
Arthur was in prison for four long years on the charges of theft and evading arrest. In the latest episode, he was seen having a panic attack after Hope asked him to let it out before the traumas that haunted him resurfaced in ways he wouldn't know.
Arthur started breathing heavily and crying, which made the producers help him get out of the building to get fresh air. In a confessional running side by side, Arthur shared that his hands were moving in a "weird" way at that moment, and the people around him felt like devils.

Fans of Love After Lockup came out to X to express their opinions on the incident. Most of them sympathized with Arthur's trauma, while others also suggested he should get therapy.
"None of us know what poor Arthur has experienced in prison. He needs therapy," a fan said.
"Arthur is going to need some serious therapy to help him adjust to life outside of prison again," another person said.
"It’s gonna take a long time for Arthur to feel okay but I pray he starts the journey with a therapist as soon as possible..I feel so sad for him. Being in that state of mind is crippling. PRISON REFORM NEEDS TO HAPPEN," an X user wrote.

"I’m watching #LoveAfterLockup and I feel so bad for Arthur. He keeps expressing how difficult prison was for him as someone who is very sensitive, and now he has some serious health issues….and all his girlfriend can think about is herself," a fan wrote on X.
"Unpopular opinion I don't think hope is good for Arthur's mental health," a comment read.

In episode 37 of Love After Lockup, Arthur was escorted out by the producer to get some fresh air because he was heavily breathing and after that, Hope followed through. She asked him to tell her what was going on in his head, but he didn't talk.
When she coaxed him to say something, he said he loved her. When she began to hug him, he didn't hug her back. Hope said in a confessional that it was "scaring the life out of" her. The producers then called his mom and handed him the phone, so she could console him. His mom tried easing him by saying that she loved him and that everything was going to be okay.
A big revelation followed after that, in a confession interview. Arthur said he saw another man die in prison, that too after they tried reaching out to Arthur for help. He said the memories of that still haunted him and wished he was never there.
