While things may have seemed promising between Vanessa and her trial partner, Nick, in The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Vanessa holds a different perspective on their relationship.

In a December 18 Instagram post, Venessa broke her silence on her trial marriage with Nick and shared some things that weren't shown in the episodes.

After talking about Nick's alcohol and substance abuse, she recalled his confusing behavior after finding out about Sandy and J.R.'s kiss.

Venessa claimed that Nick was hurt by the news and she did everything she could to console him. However, when camera crews showed up, he switched the narrative and started spinning a fake story that she wasn't there for him earlier.

"This pisssed me off so much because for obvious reason, it's just felt like he was playing the victim card and trying to turn me into a villain for absolutely no reason," Venessa added.

Vanessa entered The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On with her partner, Dave, hoping to get engaged by the end of the show.

During the initial episodes, she formed a connection with Nick and decided to enter into a trial marriage with him. While things seemed promising for the couple, they broke up after Venessa and Dave left the show for personal reasons.

After the reunion episode of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On aired on December 18, Vanessa took to Instagram to reveal details about her trial marriage with Nick that were not shown in the episodes.

Vanessa shared that she established a "pretty solid friendship" with Nick during the dating week. However, after they entered their trial marriage, she claimed that things took a 180-degree turn.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star recalled that on the first day of living together as a couple, Nick pulled her into the bedroom and shared some things with her that made her feel "super concerned" and "uncomfortable".

"[Nick] shared with me that he has substance abuse issues. I found out later through a birdie that he was still abusing while filming, which was very apparent to me. Also has issues with alcohol. That was also very apparent to me. That was a pretty big deal," she continued.

She further claimed that Nick admitted to omitting this information whenever he went through his psych evaluation to be on the show.

Vanessa recalled the moment when Nick learned about Sandy and J.R.'s kiss, noting that it caused him to spiral. She shared that, during that time, she wanted to be there for him as a friend because she genuinely felt for him.

"It was hard, you could see he was struggling. I was very much there for him, consoling him, providing a safe space for him to talk to me and cry on my shoulder," she added.

Despite her support, when the camera crews came in, she claimed that Nick tried to blame her for his hard times.

Vanessa was caught off guard by Nick's sudden shift in behavior in front of the camera. She believed that he was trying to lean into some kind of character that he wanted to be portrayed as on the show. Regardless, she was confused as to why he was acting differently and was really upset after the incident.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star further revealed that Nick spent the night in a hotel room, and she didn't see him until the following day. When she returned from the grocery store, she found him in the parking deck, reeking of alcohol.

"On our way up to the apartment and he had cocktails made for us, a disco ball going and EDM music blasting on like Tuesday. I would have been down to, you know, go do something afterwards had we been on good terms. But we were not on good terms," The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star added.

Vanessa described the later interaction as the "extreme opposite" of what she had just experienced the night before and felt that it was very off.
