Southern Charm season 10 released a new episode on January 9, 2025, on Bravo. In the latest episode 5, Venita Aspen's evening at Craig Conover's party took a turn when Ryan Albert inquired about her boyfriend Manny Houston's whereabouts. Venita revealed that Manny had relocated to New York City to pursue a Broadway opportunity, and in the process, they had parted ways.
Ryan was taken aback by the news, as he was already aware of Manny's new career venture but not about the breakup. He asked Venita how she felt about the situation, to which she responded that she was focusing on the present moment. Venita further shared that she intended to take things one day at a time.
"Manny moved to New York for Broadway. Oh baby, he’s not coming back," stated Venita.

She also confided that her mother was disappointed by the breakup, having been particularly fond of Manny. Venita noted that her mother's approval was rare, given her dating history.
Southern Charm star Venita stated that she gained some clarity after her breakup
In a flashback scene on the latest episode of Southern Charm, Venita was shown discussing Manny's impending move to New York City, stating that he would be away for at least four months. Manny acknowledged that his stay might be even longer. In an interview with People magazine on January 9, 2025, Venita expressed her dissatisfaction with how things ended with Manny.
Although she was not thrilled about the outcome, she recognized that life usually "moves in funny ways." The reality star added that she gained clarity on past events, and now they made sense to her. She anticipated that the latest season would be marked by frequent moments of reflection, where she would look back and understand why certain events happened in a particular way.
“Now it makes sense. And I think I'll do that a lot of times this season, actually. I'll look back and be like, ‘I understand why that happened that way,’ or, ‘Okay, this tracks,’" expressed Venita.
After her recent breakup, Southern Charm star Venita Aspen mentioned that her dog, Charles, became a beloved fixture in her life and even gained a following of his own after appearing on the show. Venita revealed that she received messages from fans, often accompanied by photos of their own pets watching Charles on TV.
In addition to her pet, Venita formed a close bond with her castmate, Jarrett "JT" Thomas. Their friendship blossomed after appearing together on Watch What Happens Live. Venita called the experience of getting to know JT "nice and refreshing." However, she acknowledged that he struggled with self-inflicted obstacles.
“I feel like last year he ended on a note where he walked in and he was just like, ‘I am going to show all these boys how to be a real man."
Venita continued:
“This season, I'm excited to see the guys and girls give JT a chance."
Venita said that in Southern Charm season 4, she developed a sense of confidence and detachment from the opinions of others. Having previously struggled with negative comments and the resulting "downward spiral of depression," Venita learned to recognize that such criticism reflected more on the commenter than on herself.
While acknowledging that the series only captured a fragment of reality, she appreciated the opportunity to share her authentic self with the audience.
