"He's completely insane!" — Deal or No Deal Island star Parvati reacts to Dr. Will Kirby's arrival

Deal or No Deal Island season 2 episode 2 premiered on NBC on January 14, 2025, introducing the highly anticipated arrival of renowned reality TV star Dr. Will Kirby.

Kirby made his entrance on a note while wearing a tuxedo. He addressed his fellow contestants, claiming to be the “best Big Brother player of all time.” He also criticized them for only banking one dollar to the prize pool so far.

Survivor alum Parvati Shallow wasn't initially impressed with Kirby's arrival. However, she later realized that his addition to the show could work in her favor.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly published on January 14, Shallow shared her thoughts about having the Big Brother alum on the show, noting that his presence helped divert attention away from her, adding that he was "completely insane."

“I was happy to have him in the game for the sheer fact that he did take some attention off of me just because he's completely insane! Other than that, I think I found out very quickly that Will was just not a guy I was going to mesh with,” she said.

In Entertainment Weekly, Shallow shared that she wasn't impressed with Dr. Will Kirby, seeing how he made his entrance wearing a tuxedo in the tropical Panamanian climate.

“When I see him pull up in a yacht with a tuxedo on, I'm very concerned about his fashion choices. He is clearly misaligned with the mission at hand. Like, you need a linen suit, you need shorts, you need a linen top, some sunglasses, maybe a hat. He came out here in a full tux. Wrong. I said, ‘Will, you can't wear that back to camp.’” she noted.

Reflecting on her past experience with Dr. Will Kirby, Shallow described him as a "complete agent of chaos." Although Kirby has a long history of making appearances on various reality shows, Shallow specifically recalled his guest appearance during her season of The Traitors.

While the Deal or No Deal Island star said that she had never played with Kirby or had seen his season of Big Brother, she was aware of his reputation.

“I've never played with Dr. Will. I've never even seen his seasons of Big Brother. But I am aware of his reputation, and he came out to The Traitors as a guest who set us up for the bug house, which was a nightmarish challenge. So that's all I know about Will,” she shared.

While Shallow did not know a lot about him, the Big Brother alum knew a lot about her when he arrived on episode 2 of Deal or No Deal Island season 2.

After making his introduction, Shallow shared that Kirby shifted his attention to her and started talking about her, where he mentioned personal details such as her birthdate and the university she graduated from.

“He shows up on the beach, everyone leaves the challenge, I'm the last one walking out and he goes, ‘Parvati, the Black Widow. Born September 21st, 1982. Went to Sprayberry High School, graduated at the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism.’ I was like, ‘What is happening?’" she shared.

Upon hearing this, Shallow couldn’t help but feel that her fellow Deal or No Deal Island contestant had either been stalking her for a long time or had gone to great lengths to memorize every trivia fact about her.

“I didn't know what to think about him. Is he going to want to play with me? Is he going to want to be against me?” she added.
