"He's not mentally stable" — Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Ken reflects on his meeting with Marques

Love & Marriage: Huntsville released episode 7, Game a'Thrown, on Saturday, December 14, 2024. In one of the segments of the episode, Tricia's boyfriend, Ken, sat down with his friend Will to discuss his meeting with Marques, Tricia's estranged husband. Ken mentioned that Marques was an emotional individual, whose reactions seemed unconventional.

Episode 3 featured Marques' meeting with Ken and Tricia, during which he expressed concern over Ken's presence in his children's lives. He believed Ken was trying to step into his shoes and become the man of the house. Tricia criticized Marques for demeaning Ken, holding him responsible for distancing himself from the kids. Later, Marques got emotional as he handed divorce papers to Tricia.

In the latest episode, Ken revisited the conversation and commented on Marques' behavior saying:

"That part was getting annoying because it's like he's not mentally stable."

The Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast member said that he understood why Marques felt uncomfortable around him. However, Ken still wanted him to take the initiative and be a consistent figure in his children's lives. At the same time, he hoped Tricia would sign the divorce papers as soon as possible so they could move on from the drama.

"I'm not even in competition with you" — Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Ken chimes in on his relationship dynamic with Marques

While reflecting on his dinner meeting with Marques, Ken mentioned that Marques was an "emotionally driven" individual, whose main conflict was with him. Although Marques had expressed discomfort in Ken's presence, the latter confessed that he maintained a respectable tone and did everything to "bounce around his feelings."

However, Ken knew that most of Marques's resentment was directed toward him because of his involvement with his children. The Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast member realized that his efforts to make the children feel content and happy did not sit well with Marques.

"I'm like, dude, I'm not even in competition with you. Like I told him before, 'Bro, I'm here to assist you. I'm your assistant,'" Ken said.

However, Ken also knew that if Tricia were dating somebody else, Marques would have signed the divorce papers long ago and not interfered in their lives as much as he did.

When Will asked Ken if he would marry Tricia if she signed the papers, Ken revealed that he was ready to "get the ring" as soon as she finalized their divorce.

"Once she gets this divorce, it's up. It's popping," the Love & Marriage: Huntsville star added.

While speaking to the cameras, Ken confessed that Tricia was taking longer than expected to close the chapter with Marques. Although he did not want to pressure her, he feared Marques' "resistance" would send Tricia to "retreat mode." He hoped Tricia would hasten the process, so they could all move on.

Ken then shared that he wanted to invite Marques to Xavier and Xari's graduation party since he was their father. When Will asked Ken what he would do if Marques acted inappropriately, Ken replied that he would try to have another conversation with him.

However, Will advised Ken to exclude Marques from future gatherings if he kept up his act. Ken agreed, saying:

"I feel that that's where I'm at. 100% that's where I'm at. Bro, I have one conversation then I start talking with these [shows his fists]"

Later in the episode, Ken's fears came true when Marques interrupted his speech at the party to let the guests know he was the father of the children.
